I love what Conor did yesterday.
Any fighter trying to get more money from the UFC get my respect.
If you think you got some leverage, Try to use it.
I don't think he is a spoiled brat.
A guy died doing this sport last week.
Fighter should get paid more at any level.
That sport need more "Mayweather", less yes man.

That being said.
Don't think the UFC gonna bend on that one.
Even if they got all the money in the world.
The UFC will alway's play hardball.

I just hope the UFC will chnage the way they do thing a little.
Don't put all eggs in one basket anymore.
Use the Big UFC promo machine on more than one guy.
Treat/Pay the fighter better, make them more happy/loyal.

As for Conor, I'm not worry one bit about him.
Already made good money.
Is mouth and Charisma was alway's his best asset anyway.
Hollywood could use a guy like him.
Wouldn't be surprised to see him in the next "Expandable" movie
Or play an Irish comic character like Bulleyes or Banshee in a future "Marvel" blockbuster.

If we don't see Conor fighting again, it's a little sad yes,
but at least that fighter went out on his own term.
Pretty rare thing in that profession.

The biggest loser in that... the fans.
Hope the bald goof realize this.

He's not retiring. At least not permanently.

He loves money, status, and nice shit that wealth affords, WAY too much, to remain away from the game for good.

This was all about hard-ball negotiating & posturing. Dana & co. called his bluff. He will be back eventually, when they settle on a different number.

I find it very disappointing. What I liked most about McGregor was how he honored his fight commitments, fought as often as anyone, and always brought it.

To lose out on UFC 200 and see his career on hold for what seems to be a failed negotiating tactic is very disappointing.

He has his reasons but retiring and cancelling a fight without any explanation is disappointing.

Glad to see DW had some balls to pull his money maker from the card.

I'm all for this. I'm not against fighters asking for more pay but because it's Conor I'm glad DW shut the door in his face.

What's your postion inside either the McGregor camp or the UFC ? How do you know he asked for more money ?

Oh that's right you read something that somebody made up on the internet ( McGregor demanded £10 million for the Diaz rematch) that has since become gospel and wrote a thread about it .
