Was it 96 maybe? I forget but it was one of those years. We have it on VHS, since my pops was one of the first to get a VHS camera back in the mid 80's. I popped it in a few months ago and was like holy shit we got a ton of snow that year. It snowed like mad for days on end here in Nassau. Fun for a 12-13 year old :D

Fuck Texas. I'd rather spend winter in Siberia then spend another 5 minutes in that god forsaken shit hole. Give Texas back to Mexico and be done with it.
 
Living in Central California makes me wish I get into a school in the East just because of the snow.

It snowed here once about 13 years ago. I can barely remember it because I had a bad fever and I was all drugged up and sleeping all day.

I love it when people freak out about storms. Snow will be bad for a day, probably have to deal with shoveling snow into Saturday, other than that it will be fine.

LOL at people stocking up as if this is the coming of the apocalypse or some shit. New Englanders always act as if they've never seen snow before.

I just make sure I have gas for my generator, firewood and water, and I'm golden. Oh, and beer and wine.
 
back in 96 or whatever, i walked through about 1.5 feet of snow about 2 miles to get some robotussin DM to trip with my girl. was worth it.

QFT. Frigging Connecticut.

I'm out here trying to go about my regular routine off from work and the roads are cluttered with folks, leaving work all kinds of early, to jam up the supermarket and gas stations.

The only storm prep I need is to prime my generator and back into my garage rather than pulling in. Done and done.
 
well was without power for a bit over 24hours. the temp in the house was down to 46 and that sucks to be able to see your breath in your own house. had to put my gecko on top of the stove since the pilot kept her wqarm. overall a shitty experince and i can't wait for a hot shower tonight.
 
pretty much all of Quincy went out. My phone wouldn't hold a charge from the car so I avoided sherdog so i wouldn't kill the battery.
 
Escaped mostly unscathed. My back is fucking killing me from shoveling for hours yesterday, but no big complaints.

Except that right now I'm at the airport and my flight has been delayed 2 hours. Fuck you Nemo!

Just had a massive snow storm a few days ago here, couple people died in car accidents because of it.

That's winter in Canada for ya.

Two weeks ago we got about 2 inches and I kid you not, in the UK the entire country shuts down, everyone stocks up on bread and milk and queues for miles on the motorways.
We're shit!
 
It's beautiful outside, feels like an entirely different world, especially with all the branches weighed down and drooping, bushes weighed down to the ground, walkin on the snow makes you feel a few inches taller as well. A welcome change from last year (2011 though had plenty of snow).
 
It's really cool outside. My roof is a dichotomy - the front has almost zero snow, but the back has like 3 foot drifts. My roof rake barely made a dent, so I had to get up there and shovel a bit off.
