North Korean MMA Fighter

MMAUK did a really interesting interview with a fighter from North Korea who escaped the country as a teenager to follow his dream of being a fighter. Not much to discuss or debate on this one but thought it needed to be shared, the story really is unbelievable when you read through it.

I'm not sure if maybe he did military duty but it's been a few years since he last fought (that has been recorded anyways). Looks like he's still training though, and moved to one of the top Korean gyms in MMA Story. He came up through ROAD's Crying Fist show and gained a little popularity through that. I'll have to look and see if ROAD put any articles up on their English site about him, I know they did an interview with him in Korean.
