Yep. NASCAR tv ratings have been tanking for a long time. Even hardcore gearheads like myself and friends don’t care for it.
NASCAR is for goofs who have a man crush on the driver, most don’t know jack shit about cars.
The zoomer generation generally doesn’t care about cars much at all. They’d rather watch clips of some doofus dancing in his apartment on social media.

I can't imagine the guy faking it. But I also can't imagine someone doing it as a legit hate crime. Obviously both of those things happen but I honestly can't understand the thought process that would lead anyone to try and pull off either right now in that particular environment. Nah there’s way more useful stuff than that in modern times to come from Moorseville.

SB2/SB2.2/R07 parts are definitely awesome, but they’re essentially the apex of 70 year old SB technology that’s not much use outside of its specific function. (Lol@ Toyota somehow running a pushrod V8 that came in nothing ever lol)

More ubiquitously useful tech that’s trickled down would be advancements in internal powertrain coatings(which are universally used by the commercial OEMs now), cylinder head airflow dynamics, exhaust tech, wind tunnel aerodynamic testing (which benefits all logistics commerce in the form of reduced emissions, fuel consumption, and efficiency) ,advancements in crash and safety , etc...

The point of my post in response to Renard's, if any of these dolt-cutters could stop hyperventilating long enough to think, was to point out that percentages don't matter historically in the USA, especially in the context of racist definitions, because "1 drop" of black blood means you are a black man. Racists don't discriminate because of fractions where they know.

So a person's ability to pass as white isn't synonymous to being white unless one's lineage is shrouded in ignorance. This was a rebuttal to the notion that one's proportion of race offers any insight into whether or not one would be targeted, or the likelihood one would stage a hate crime against himself.
