We got example of fighters who getting enough support from the fans when they mostly keep silent (Fedor). On other hand we got fighters who get more fans when they speak (Conor).
Problem is we have to listen fighters trash talk too long and too often, when they got no mic skills at all (Lee,Johnson,Chiesa,Colby, etc).
Whats the best way to balance it? I guess fighters should have way less time given for their talks. For example you dont hear athletes talk that much in basketball, soccer, racing, etc.

Everyone is different.

Tyson was the most popular athlete of the 80's, and he didn't give any good promos on the Mic.
Ali was the most popular athlete of the 70's, and he never shut the hell up.
Michael Jordan may be the most popular athlete of all time, and he doesn't have any great sound bites.

There is no clear recipe. It's all about talent, success, charisma and circumstance

i dont know about balance, but basically don't force your whack ass trash talk if you're not charismatic like a conor, chael, bisping etc etc.

it's way too obvious when someone is fake with it and it comes off so fucking embarrassing (colby and kevin lee are 2 of the biggest examples).

oh and almost everything sounds better with an accent, it's the americans that sound the worst with the forced corny shit.

I usually get attention by pulling down my trousers and running through the mother care department at the local mall. But I'm not sure that translates well?

tyson was constantly ranting insane shit and youtube is full of it. even before the internet and viral marketing he was an extremely controversial figure. when did ali ever say "i'll fuck you til you love me,:eek::eek:et"? or "i wish one of your guys had children so i could kick them in their fucking head or stomp on their testicles" or "i wanna eat his heart i wanna eat his children"?

That's not why he was so popular and famous. He became more outrageous as his career was going down hill.

Silent, so Humbuckers are preferred, but Single Coils are good for clean, crystal tones.

With an NS2 Boss Pedal it gets rid of the hum though, so it solves the noise problem.

1) Action speaks louder than word

2) Word speaks louder than no action

3) Action and word speak louder than 1 & 2

Fedor - #1
Conor + chael- #3

The wankers fit in #2

They have to learn the proper way for THEM to trash talk. The way that is natural to them.

For example Conor says things like: "He's a little german midget steroid head" / "Little pea head" because that's Conor's style and personality. Loud and cocky. Appealing because it's natural and you can see the confidence.

GSP says things like "I'm not impressed by your performance" and that's his personalities way of talking trash. Appealing because it's natural and you can see the confidence.

Rockhold is cringey becaase he's forcing it too much to the loud and cocky side, being unnatural and you can see the lack of confidence.

Fedor was able to captivate by saying practically nothing, because the confidence shined through his natural being that he was presenting.

Lesson is, find the best way to implement your own potential and style, because the appeal isn't in being loud and cocky, the appeal is in the actualization of your own potential. Optimize yourself and you become marketable, but if you try and optimize yourself by biting someone elses style, people see through it and it doesn't fit properly.

"I believe that one of the most critical factors in the transition to becoming a conscious high performer is the degree to which your relationship to your pursuit stays in harmony with your unique disposition. There will inevitably be times when we need to try new ideas, release our current knowledge to take in new information—but it is critical to integrate this new information in a manner that does not violate who we are."

That's impossible now days. With millenials, hipsters, dudebros, etc you're always gonna be cringey to somebody.

Fair enough. So:

Don't be cringy for not cringy part of the population.

Oh boy lol
