And i'm talking in the lhw class,Gustafsson came about the closest and lost, belfort almost took his arm back to his lions den,but i really don't see anyone beating him, flame on!

Maybe not right now but we have no idea how long he will fight or what talent we might see emerge. For all we know some 19 year old super-athlete who trained as a kid is about to burst onto the scene and give Bones a Shogun/Jones style beatdown.

I agree. As long as he keeps his personal driver everything should be OK.

Yup agreed with you TS, I can't see anyone beating him at the moment. Maybe in future he could lose a fight at HW. but now he is gonna be very hard to beat.

LHW is one of the most shallow divisions right now IMO. Filled with a lot of guys out of their prime.

I'm hoping some new talent emerge in the next couple years.

Misha Cirkunov is someone I'm hoping works their way to a title shot down the road!

He will get beat if he goes to Heavyweight someday.

Jones gets fucking destroyed in every hypothetical matchup though

Put "in the LHW class" in your thread title.

Sneaky bastard.

Why not, I don't think anyone is better or more gifted. He did everything he has while partying and getting into major trouble outside of fighting. If he was 100% dedicated to the craft it wouldn't even be a question of who the GOAT was. As is, I think Fedor is still more impressive from my perspective, and both may still be fighting so I would look back when they both are done.

There's nothing to flame.

LHW is thinner than Jones legs. So long as he stays at LHW there's a good chance nobody beats him there.

Gus and Rumble are inconsistent and DC aka Cain Lite doesn't have the tools to decision Jones.

However if he goes to HW, Jones gets rekt by the top guys there.

I can't remember if he ever stated the move up to heavy....but would love to see how far he goes and what fighter beats him there.

lol

I remember that's what people said about Iron Mike in the late eighties. Then legal problems, cocaine and Buster Douglas happened.

Sound familiar?

That seems like a smart bet to make.

Agreed, only TRT Vitor could've beaten him if that fight had taken place in Brazil.
but if he moves up to heavyweight then i see him losing.

Gus would absolutely wreck the Jonathan we saw vs OSP. His performance in that fight clearly could've been due to ring rust though.

Really ?? man I thought he looked sub average Sat. night.

Wasn't barely threatening a guy who only had 3 weeks camp . To me ,Jones looked like he would have gotten beat by DC/ Rumble/ Gus / Glover ....or shit, even Bader had a chance Saturday.

Damn, Jones' year off training pics where he was supposedly scary and "A BEAST" never showed up to 197 .

I agree, but because he'll be in prison by the time he's 30

This Bones burns out. If he is, and remains straight. He is essentially in a GSP like run. "Used to wreck guys now decisions them". OSP just served as Dan Hardy weak challenger went 5 rounds. Someone one will finally teap his knees and pressure him. That's when he goes down.
