no talk about bj penn

Do u honestly care that he's fighting in 2 weeks?
I'll watch, but don't really have reason to considering he's going to get trashed and cry during the post fight interview.

I'm just pretending it's not happening. And that BJ retired after the Sanchez fight.

I'm really excited for the fight: anytime BJ fights is an experience for me. I'm a super fan.

I'm also nervous. We all know why.

So to answer your op I care

I'll watch and probably be disappointed once more.

I was more interested before. Now I'll just wait til he actually gets into the octagon before getting excited again.

Hasn't looked good for a while and at this point I'm not interested.

Also was never really a huge fan so I would never be that excited anyways

BJ is interesting to me, I was not a huge fan of him in his prime. As the competition got better he stagnated, went to a crappy camp, seemed more interested in vacationing than fighting, and his performances declined. He "retired" way too early and his retirement was, imo, more because he wasn't motivated/interested in improving as the bar became higher and higher. He had some amazing performances against the top guys at the time, but his actions don't match his words. He talks so much trash and talks about how motivated he is,then shows up looking pudgy, slow, and relied on his chin. It's just hard for me to get excited. I think he is still capable of being a top15 and maybe even top 10 fighter but so much of that depends on his drive and desire to be thr best and frankly he just didn't show it in the past 4-5 fights. So it's hard for me to get behind him.

I'll have seen Dylan, and the Stones the night before. I'll be seeing Paul McCartney, and Neil Young that night. The prelims will start at 3:45am. Main card at 7:00am in California. I might be awake around the time of the main event 9:00 - 10:00. But I'm not gonna set an alarm or anything. If I'm already awake I'll watch whatever is left. If not... No big deal.

Lamas should easily win.

I'm worried about his health. Dude is a prime candidate for pugilistic dementia with his last couple fights.

He has absorbed absurd beatings in the last run of fights. Diaz, Rory, Edgar all beat the shit out of him.

Did it really work out though?

Preaching to the converted homey. I'm not American, I was just simply quoting Vince Vaughan from a humorous movie I once saw.

Most of that stuff isn't true though, particularly everything pertaining to healthcare.

Penn's my fav topic. Reason says he gets GnP stopped, but the BJ Penn delusion never really completely dies. It's one win away from being back. Let's go Penn!

I love BJ man but I've got EXTREMELY low expectations

Oh lol. Ya I noticed that too, a lot of it is bullshit

Would be awesome if he comes out and cracks Lamas cold
