Nobody can be a natural super heavyweight, those guys are very fat or have taken a lot of steroids

There will never be a true heavyweight or openweight mma champ because there is no real money for fighters in mma. NFL has all the talent. Put Jordan Mailata in wrestling camp as a kid instead of rugby for example, start him training in mma as a teen, he beats every heavyweight that ever lived. He’s too busy making millions beating the shit out of the Washington football teams defensive line right now tho. Go Birds

Just renove the HW cap. So tall guys like Volkov and Struve can put some muscle on, massive guys like Black Beast and Brock don't need to cut weight and you leave the door open for the occasional monster to transition to MMA if they have decent skill.

I think it would be much smarter to create a 225 lb division. This would be perfect for Jones. Numerous fighters would fit it much better than the current HW division.

Um...wouldn't a super HW just be someone above 265? If that's the case there are probably some guys who cut down to 265 still.

Brock Lesnar had to cut down to 265, so it's not true that all super heavyweights are fat slobs. Just most of them don't have enough incentive to become mixed martial artist.


Super Heavyweight shouldn't exist, and it's not because it'd be a shallow division or they're fat or roided - it's because HW shouldn't have a weight limit, defeats the purpose of calling it the heavyweight.
