No 'pure' MMA classes in NYC?

same im a pro mma fighter and if iw ere to be in nyc id be at renzos or long island mma hoboken i prefer renzos grappling over unity/garcias style and danaher is a great coach for mma grappling as well

Yeah hes got a task force for that shit called the deathsquad. The instructor in mendez has trained there too. He knows danaher basically every pro fighter does and goes over there.

i would love to pick johns brain about the cage in mma and how he likes to approach taking someone down on the fence with all the defenses guys have today and dealing with guys wall walking trying to stand back up i feel thats why bjj guys fail today they dont really change their style since in mma guys dont wana grapple with you if you take them down so you have to force them to

It would be nice yeah. If your a pro fighter and you go to renzos he'll definitely let you ask any questions you want and show you some shit. Im pretty sure hes a down to earth dude.

yeha im gonna go one day ima black belt and under relson gracie whos renzos cousin and they are pretty close unfortunately he doesnt like it when others go to to gyms so not sure if i should call relson and ask him to call renzo to ask if i can go in with them or just go without telling him

cause i heard it can be hard to get in with the good guys tot rain

Never heard anything like that. But im sure there pretty chill obviously they not going to let you on there grappling team without seeing how good you are or if you cant tap out cm punk. But bjj instructors are pretty chill and im sure call or no call, danaher should show you some tricks. Relson should approve i dont see why not?

ehh relson is very old school unfortunately and seems to think id pick up bad habits lol tbh he wanted to train me for a fight by doing self defense stuff... not trying to talk bad about him but he doesnt get mma today because in his day guys wernt talented so that self defense stuff worked fine tbh dont think ill even tell him and just see what happens when i go

Man renzo is his cuz not many people can stay mad at there family. Ive been kicked out of my parents house 3x and they came and picked me up from newark at one of my friends house.
