Jiri Prochazka was, almost 100% assuredly, on big PED against Reyes and Glover. It was called an injury because when a test was marked positively, not to damage the integrity of the fighter, they would call an injury instead of a "USADA suspension"... Since there were wrong cases before and then, they didn't want to wrongly damage an athlete's reputation.
Jiri was told to have the "worst serious shoulder injury ever and maybe couldn't even come back..." according to whoever reported why he would vacate the belt. According to DC, Joe Rogan and Chael, Jiri Prochazka didn't want to give up his belt, but the organization relinquished him of it. Curiously, 1 month after the "devastating shoulder injury", Jamahal Hill defeated Glover and Jiri said "I'm coming, I'm coming!!" with nothing on his shoulder, perfect movement, and he said he was ready to fight...
When they asked their team about the shoulder injury, they never disclosed any medical report on it (since most likely there was none) and said they "found something". According to insiders from UFC, the USADA tested Jiri Prochakza 27 times a year, and they kept testing, actually, due to how severe the situation was... In case of him having used, like EPOs... In an amount according to Chael, told to be unseen of... Which would make his cardio basically inhuman.
Jiri never denied one someone talked to him about USADA finding something illegal, saying he simply didn't know and would take them usually as a routine. In fact, the organization stripped Jamahal Hill due to, likely, the same reasons, since he called injury, served the same amount of time, and this "injury" seems too convenient... Their physics were just not the same after suspension.
In fact, Jiri wasn't allowed to fight Pereira until November because he committed to test a full calendar to certify there was nothing in his system.
In the second fight vs Poatan, however, according to body anatomy specialists, he seemed to have back, already, the shape he had when taking the steroids vs Reyes, like the bumped up shoulders and the noticeably expanded ribcage muscles... As did Khalil Rountree, most likely, according to some analysts when looking at his body.
Jan Blackowski is another suspect one, tbh... When he KO'd Reyes, his body was totally lean mass. His shoulder (again, always a significant sign depending on the way the muscles are shaped) and his abs, having that "dried up but sturdy" aspect... While vs Ankalaev and Pereira, Jan's body seemed noticeably more flanked... He simply couldn't sustain the muscles, not appearing to be a little chubby. Same with Jamahal Hill when he came back to fight Pereira and then, Jiri Prochazka... Tho Jiri weirdly kept on showing body signs of it, tho he was likely out of the pool testing...
But it was a time in the LHW where it was just weird, that's why no one paid attention too much.... The UFC was legit scared with the Jiri vs Glover, Glover vs Jan matches. And make no mistake, according to the commission, Jan and Glover were flagged too for the usage of it, which was made even clearer when comparing his body structure vs his one against Jiri in the second fight... The face looked leaner vs Jiri, and the body seemed to have way less fat...
So it was basically a division that was being ignored, as the top guys there were constantly using PEDs among them, so much as Glover according to many legit looked in his absolute prime vs Jan and Jiri Prochakza, but not vs Hill...
Curiously too, Prochazka was already eyeing the UFC, but when asked in 2019, he said that it still wasn't his time... As in, he didn't feel confident with Jon Jones there. When JJ went out, was when Jiri Prochakza entered the UFC. According to Joe Rogan, it seemed Jiri Prochazka had been training with Jon Jones for a while, both for the Reyes match and for the Glover Teixeira match. In the Glover match specifically, he said in an interview that he was waiting to see if Jon Jones would appear there to help him prepare to the Glover fight.
Interestingly enough, Jon Jones' second video came right a few months before the Jiri vs Reyes match. Some ppl speculate he had been training with Jiri, already, for the match, but there were no confirmations. Jiri Prochakza however said that to him, Jon Jones is the best and that he wouldn't want to fight Jon Jones, because Jiri saw him more like a legend that he respected to the point of not wanting to fight against.
