Everybody is so awesome until they disagree with Donald Trump and then they're worthless shitbags.
You guys are un-fucking-believable.
It's a cult of personality

I don't want anything. I have no dog in this fight. All I did was point out is that there's no contradiction in being against pulling out and not wanting to be there in the first place. Once you're in, the game changes and you're not bound to any former position. The situation is different and so are the stakes.So what you are saying is you just want to pull out nice and slow
Am I wrong here? Are all the troops already back home? Did the space force pick them all up and warp speed them back home?
Why is it so hard for the resident idiots to understand that being against a military intervention and being against a sudden withdrawal are not conflicting ideals?

This shouldn't be so hard to understand since it's pretty common to consider both GWB's (more like Cheney's really but I digress) imperialistic whims and Obama's decision to pull out of Iraq bad calls.
The right way of pulling out, would be to make a deal with Russia and Turkey to pull out all together.
Trump is cucking the U.S.

For retarded Repubes trying to label the left war hawks.
Afghanistan = pull out
Iraq = pull out
Go for it.
Syrira = not yet. By all accounts Assad and Russia are just waiting to take over once the U.S. leaves, any not to do any good in the region.
Talks of flip flopping?
That's rich coming from Republicans,
who as soon as Trump dicked them suddenly started loving Putin (previously hated him) & turned on George Bush.
This is the main point sane people are worried about.
After Syrian President Bashar al-Assad launched a chemical attack on civilians in April 2017, Trump called Mattis and said he wanted to assassinate the dictator. “Let’s fucking kill him! Let’s go in. Let’s kill the fucking lot of them,” Trump said, according to Woodward.
Mattis told the president that he would get right on it. But after hanging up the phone, he told a senior aide: “We’re not going to do any of that. We’re going to be much more measured.” The national security team developed options for the more conventional airstrike that Trump ultimately ordered.

And Trump is?![]()
But he is widely recognized as a geo political expert. Which is why he is so well respected across the board.
There is a reason his nickname is the warrior monk.
It's the reason a lot of people on both sides of the aisle supported his appointment and are scared to seem him go.
We have 2,200 troops in Syria...

LOL! Threaten you? What the fuck are you talking about? Are you drunk Again?
Tiny little bitch? Are you for real? We've seen you dummy. What? 5'6' absolutely no muscle tone. Bald with saggy tits, noodle arms and an almost pregnant look in the midsection
I'd never even fight you. It would look like a man fighting a pregnant extraterrestrial. I'd just hold you down as gently as possible until the authorities arrived. I'd also contain you while they argued which facility to take you to. Male or Female

Why would you consider him a geo-political expert?
Did he study political science at school?
His job requires him to make what kind of geo-political policy decisions? When, give me even one example.
Calling Mattis a geo-politocal strategist is like calling point guard a quarterback. Yes, they both play sports, hell they even direct traffic in game play. Saying a QB is qualified to play point guard is absurdity.
Here ya go. Hes got a bachelors in history, a masters in international security affairs, etc.
He also headed NATO Strategic Command for several years (2007 to 2009) hence why NATO respects him. You don't do two years of NATO command without a form understanding of geopolitical issues facing your allies.

Ok, fair enough. Now what if I find someone with better credentials arguing the opposite of what Mattis said.
Does the fact that he is in a military chain of command, undermining his superior in public, not undermine his credibility?
I think he got to the point where he went from disagreement and debate with the president to where he would be undermining him if he stayed and left.
He was also thoroughly diplomatic in his resignation. He could have done the Twitter thing, talk media tour, etc blasting the President but did not.
