Headbutting is an effective means of damaging your opponent.
Some would argue it's a matter of trauma. In a sport where you can punch, elbow, knee, and kick your opponent in the head why wouldn't headbutts also be legal? Certainly a headbutt is not more traumatic then a high kick or knee to the chin.
Some would argue that headbutts cause cuts to which i would respond so what? Cuts are a real part of fighting and elbows do the same thing.
Can we all be honest and admit the only reason headbutts are illegal is because of image? What legalizing headbutts would do is increase the action on the fence and the action on the ground.
