No google, answer these questions

Canada's capital, cause of great depression, cause of Hitler's rise.

Ottawa, Overinvestment due to wealth disparity and deflation, Treaty of Versailles causing German hyperinflation generating a lot of discontent

ha, so did everybody else. JVS obviously assumed it's because I hang out with retards, but I really don't think many do know the capital of Canada. The hockey team being call "senators" should be a giveaway, and I believe you that you knew it, but don't want to decide we're suddenly all experts on Canada.

I knew the capital because sometimes in news, they use the capitals as the representatives of the government.

For example i would hear someone say "Washington is worried about Chinese encroaching" to refer to the US government.

So news about Canadian government would start something like "Ottawa worried about Panamerican games not meeting prequisites".

Ottawa
unchecked speculation on the US stock market, thus effecting the rest of the world's markets
Germany taking the blame for war in Treaty of Versaiiles, Weimar Republic's weak government, and the restriction placed on the country after the Great War coupled w/the Great Depressions even worse effects in Deutschland
Ottawa, Overinvestment due to wealth disparity and deflation, Treaty of Versailles causing German hyperinflation generating a lot of discontent

The only two people to mention the treaty of Versailles. You guys should get gold stars or something.

in no way shape or form am I defending the Nazis or that era Germany, but the Treaty of Versailles and them taking the blame was ridiculous.

If anything, Austria Hungary was the clear aggressor and the reason the starting that war, Germany only entered due to existing treaty w/ AHE. Kaiser Wilhelm even wrote Franz Joseph pleading him not to declare war on Serbia and hence Russia

is it true that if you don't speak French, its virtually impossible to get a job in the Canadian government?

even the non Quebec parts?

or did some Canadian just blatantly troll me?

Did you seriously know Ottawa without google? If so, please name Canada's provinces, without google.
PEI, New Brunswick, Ontario , quebec, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, British Columbia, northwest territory?, Newfoundland, that's all I got.

I'm amazed this many Americans DON'T know Ottawa is the capitol

even if you've never been to Canada (I've only been to Whistler and Vancouver), YT videos or How I Met Your Mother or some pop culture reference likely has mentioned it

I don't think anyone can, or should defend the Nazis.

Nor should anyone look at the Paris Treaties as a well thought out response to WW1. The aim of neutering the central powers of Europe in the name of justice had predictable consequences, and almost the exact opposite effect as intended. Not like a kindler, gentler punishment would have been accepted by the majority of the allies populance, but still, every action has consequences.

I use to hang out in some park called bay of Fundy when I was a kid. Had family in NB, Nova Scotia and PEI.

Only thing I really remember about Bay of Fundy was that it was the location of the fastest rising tides on earth.

funny enough the French/Indian War ( or Seven Years War as you may know it in Europe) was also ended by a treaty in Paris (the literal Treaty of Paris) and they instituted the Proclamation of 1763 which stated that land west of the Appalachian Mtns was 'indian territory' and colonists couldn't settle west of that line...

Of course they did anyway, and predictably the settlers got attacked and the government had to send in militia and help to protect the settlers.

America, false flaggin shit before we were even a country hahahah
