I don't follow British media, but is this normal?

I don't even see a mention of Bisping on the front page.
http://www.bbc.com/sport

Has BBC banned UFC coverage following that recent Octagon death?

it was on the front page this morning (somewhere at the bottom), but not anymore.
Sports news comes thick and fast on the weekend.

I believe that means big black something and I don't think he's black

Murrays in the final of the French Open so that's dominating plus the Euro's are about to start. It would have been nice for them to give him more support but MMA isn't huge here.

Weird. I wanted to make a clever retort about Cruz not being on the front page of America's biggest sports news website (I didn't expect him to be). So I googled "America's biggest sports news website" and got usatoday.com. To my surprise, all of their top stories are about the UFC. Seems like the sport has become very popular in the USA.

They dont give a shit. Most of UK never heard of Bisping and the sports fans there are all about the upcoming Euro, and Andy Murray playing in the final at the french open as we speak.

Shit man, I thought you were being sarcastic but I went to your link, and fuck there are 5 stories on main sports page about UFC and 3 about Ali. I was actually surprised

to be fair it probably would have been higher on the front page earlier but there was about 6 Muhammad Ali stories

Bisping is probably more famous in the United States than in England.

*losing at the French Open

It was earlier, only on the BBC sports news page. But even then it wasn't a main headline it was tucked away as a little tab. They don't seem to give a shit lol.

But there was never a death in the octagon, the octagon is trademarked for UFC. To say there was a death in the octagon is to imply there was a death in the UFC. Which is simply not true. However there was a death in a cage, but not octagon.

Conor's tweet made the main page when he was saying he was retired lol .......

Murray is obviously a bigger headline, so is Wales getting canned by the Swedes but it would be nice to see a mention the day after getting our first EVER British UFC champion.

Unfortunately the UK media is still in the dark ages with regards to MMA, and I guess the fact BT Sport have the viewing rights means the BBC choose to not pay too much attention, They were talking about UFC on Talksport the other day and it was the only time iv ever been inclined to ring up a talk radio station to have a pop, there view on it was laughable with saying "mellisa" tate and just plainly not knowing a fucking thing about "cage fighting". I even considering emailing them asking for a job cuz it was embarrassing .

Also the Guardian barely talked about it. Left leaning british outlets are not big into mma.

I'd bet that it's tailored to your browsing habits just like a lot of Internet advertising.
