No, being a judge is not that hard

Its hard because its retarded to score a fight in person.

Anyone that has ever watched boxing and MMA live (MMA especially) knows that in certain positions YOU CANT EVEN SEE THE ACTION. There needs to be 3 judges in a room with headphones on watching the fights on TV with no sound. Thats the best way to score it.

For me w/o the fans I have an easier time telling what landed solid or what was blocked or what missed totally. I dont know how it would be in person though. I imagine it would be very hard to see sometimes. The announcing tonight was way over the top. I get it they were excited, but the constant yelling and talking over each other was ridiculous. I do agree there is no way Mor. won the last round he barely threw anything and was just trying to protect himself for the most part.

So what are people justification for being against the point deduction after multiple fouls?

Sherdog needs to start a trend, u can only be a judge if u were a fighter, and a good one, fuck this casual judges dude.
not every fighter should be allowed to judge either
look at cormier giving the 2nd round to moreno absolutely ridiculous

I think most people would be surprised if they actually tried to score fights....especially from different viewing angles.

There is no objective way to score combat sports. Any person trying to assess damage that isn't the person getting hit, is subjective. Each judge will have a different feeling of how much damage each punch is inflicting. Especially when you take into consideration that the judges are not next to each other....they are at different locations around the octagon...so they each have a different view point....they each hear each strike differently.

Interesting. Does any professional sport do that?

As far as judging sports I'm not really sure. I've seen UFC live 3 times and boxing live twice and its legit nearly impossible to see who is landing punches from certain angles.
