No 10-8 rounds in Magny-Lombard

Some don't like 10-8 rounds because it puts the loser at an almost insurmountable defecit to overcome.

So what!

A 10-8 round has the spirit of the Pride scoring system. If a fighter makes the effort to beat the living snot out of his opponent, then he deserves to win the entire fight even if he "coasts" the other rounds.

It's the loser that unfairly benefits when it goes 10-9 instead of 10-8.

This scoring system is broken because people are stupid. People in general are retarded and incapable of judging anything subjective in a consistent and fair manner.

I think that subjective judging should go out the window in favor of implementing more objective criteria in making a decision in the event a fight isn't finished.

Clearly they were both 10-8 rounds. I know they'll go with the whole "Magny got back up and struck a little in round 1" and the whole "Lombard dropped Magny in round 2" but sorry - those are both 10-8 rounds!

Well, it doesn't help there are people like Brian Stann saying there is practically no such thing as a 10-8 in MMA, that you would have to dominate from start to finish of a round in every aspect.

Of course that is not what the guidelines state, but hyperbole is crack for some commentators.

I actually think this might be the worst judging I've ever seen in MMA. Arguable 10-7 in the second round. I'm astonished. Those judges should never judge again, or at least should be reprimanded and educated on what the hell they're looking at. The utter ridiculousness of this is beyond comprehension.
