It's a controversial topic, most MMA fans seem to appreciate elbows these days.

Personally I prefer pride rules with no elbows as I think elbows makes it easier for boring wrestlers, especialy when they can't be punished with knee's for bad shots.

I am a bit out of the loop these days so I was wondering what is the no. 1 most highly regarded MMA promotion in the world these days that doesn't allow elbows?

Don't forget Bellator never allowed elbows in tournament fights until the final/title fights

I actually never knew this. Did Strikeforce start allowing elbows once Zuffa took over?

100% Fight in France does as well. UFC was going to sign Taylor Lapilus to fight Dennis Siver in Sweden but the fight got turned down by the Swedish athletic commission because Lapilus never was able to use elbows on the ground and they felt he'd be at a disadvantage.

Allowing knees on the ground would be one of the biggest advantages for wrestlers, not the other way around.
