NK still enriching uranium

New report out, NK is looking at ways to conceal their nukes. Face it Trumptards, your master dealmaker got played for a Photo Op.

They say when Donny got the intel he immediately called Kim and was all like, "Why you gotta do me like this, boo??"

Unnamed source<DisgustingHHH>

Trump has stated since before the meeting that de-nuking NK won't happen overnight.

Trump hints at longer path for North Korea to denuke
“It will be a beginning. I don’t say and I’ve never said it happens in one meeting. You’re talking about years of hostility; years of problems; years of, really, hatred between so many different nations. But I think you’re going to have a very positive result in the end.”

Yes, it takes time. That is why you build up the negotiations, not have the president meet with the dictator after a few perfunctory meetings. That is why you don't lavish praise on the dictator, praise for him to propagandize his people with. That is why you don't legitimize the dictator, but make him concede what he does not want to concede in order to improve his standing, instead of simply doing that, and giving him a concession of your own without consulting your own military establishment.

I mean, goddamn, no matter how foolish and unmeasured the president acts, there is always a defense.

Or did he?

Maybe that was his goal all along?

A Photo Op. This is Trump we're talking about here.

He's always about IMAGERY.

That guy died here , from injuries sustained in NK.

What has Kim given that is a meaningful ? So far all we have had is talk.

No further tests, nuclear or ballistics.

Hostages

Kim met with SK President Moon Jae In

Signed agreement to begin denuclearization.

Agreement to further talks.

They weren't conducting tests every month even before the meeting , so it doesn't mean anything that they haven't conducted any since. They don't need to conduct tests every month or 2, no nuclear power does; they only need to conduct them when they have to validate existing arsenal or find out if a new design works. NK has made concessions in the past, long before Trump, so releasing hostages isn't a new development in the relationship.

Donald Trump said on Sunday it was “possible” that a deal he claimed ended the nuclear threat posed by North Korea would not “work out”.

Who actually believes NK will give up their nukes?

Trump has been saying the deal might not work out for a month before he even met with Kim, so that's of no significance.

If Kim fires a rocket or tests a bomb we know it's over. But so far it looks like there will be a second round of negotiations.

calling this a deal is an insult to actual deals

You know more about negotiating than a multi billionaire businessman/President and his entire team around him.

It's not my knowledge, it's the prevailing consensus of those in the field. When it comes to negotiations, there is a set way to do it that has ensured diplomatic success by the US since it's inception. It's much more complicated than negotiations for the licensing of branding in products.

This just in: People that thought NK would denuclearize are still a bunch of hyper gullible fools.

This is fake news. It's yet another leak trap the shitstain media has fallen for.

Considering that this is coming from the unnamed intelligence officials I'll take a wait and see approach on whether this is even happening.
Yes this. They WANTED to find WMDs in Iraq , so they believed whoever said what they wanted to hear.
I hope this isn't true, but there is a distinct possibly thay it is

It's not even like refusing to denuclearize is some sort of madman effort by Kim. It makes total sense.

The ultimate goal of any tyrannical regime is always to preserve itself in power. If Kim gives up his nukes now, 20-30 years from now Americans elect a new moron who decides he doesn't have to honor past agreements (the justification being some vague claim that said agreement is unfair) and invades NK to bring democracy to them. Except now they don't have their nuclear deterrent and can't do a thing to stop it.

I've always thought that the best tool you can have when making any deal is the public perception that you'll honor your deals. Withdrawing from the Iran deal threw that out the window.

Yet right around the time of the meeting he was downplaying NK's totalitarianism. And he was boasting on how what he has accomplished; he sure loves to boast and take credit .

So essentially Trump was being his usual self aggrandizing self.

I coulda sworn Trump tweeted something right after the meeting to the effect of.... oh yes here it is:

Just landed - a long trip, but everybody can now feel much safer than the day I took office. There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea. Meeting with Kim Jong Un was an interesting and very positive experience. North Korea has great potential for the future!
