Nike PRO Dri-fit

Dri-fit and similar products do work well.

Cotton is absolutely terrible to train in.

I wear it, it's more comfortable than cotton I'd say for hard training but it isn't anything revolutionary or anything

I'd say it's money well spent. Training in anything except an Under Armour/DriFit material is just dirty to me. Unhygienic. Unless you're someone who just doesn't sweat.

Long or short-sleeve ?
I'm thinking long since then I can also use it when I go skiing or something to better keep warm.

I have short sleeve Nike Dri Fit and 1 Under Armour. I like the feel of the Nikes more and they're cheaper.

I also own a short sleeve Nike Dri Fit. I can't remember whether I've had it since the summer or fall, but, regardless, I love it! I've worn it for an MMA class once a week since I bought it and have started wearing it for boxing twice a week for about 3 weeks now. Despite the repeated washings and heavy use, I have yet to find any signs of wear and tear. The shirt is extremely lightweight and while I guess it might cling a little and start to get a tiny bit damp when I'm really sweaty, it's hardly noticeable and not really worth complaining about. However, I wouldn't recommend wearing it for any sort of grappling. I have and I feel like doing so has ruined some of the elasticity of the shirt. Of course, I bought mine with a looser fit to begin with, so who knows.

Here's a review:

This guy calls it Nike Pro Max, but it looks exactly like my short sleeve. Just look for the words "Nike FIT DRY " in the area where the tag would be and "Nike Pro" printed around the inside of the collar. That's how you'll know you're buying the right one.

A couple guys at my gym do - they seem to like em

I wear a long sleeve one to open mat all the time, so I'm doing no-gi in it and it holds up fine. I wear the short sleeves under my gi during regular classes.

To the guy who posted this thread (or anybody else who doesn't use this stuff), just go down to your local Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, whatever, and buy yourself one for about $8-$12 and see how you like it. I'm sure you'll like it a hell of a lot better than anything else.

I bought my short sleeve for 25 dollars (after being discounted from 50).
After coming home I decided to look what they cost in eBay and now I feel like a fool.

Agree 100%, dri fits of any sort, nike, UA, russell, etc are all better than just regular t-shirts

Yeah I found some last week but none my size :icon_cry2 You can also find other brands which look just as nice.

I have three NikePRO Dri-Fit shirts. Love them.

I have three Under Armour shirts. Good but the Nikes are better. I have one Under Armour "M e t a l" shirt. Love it.

Heard about the superior comfort of a brand called Zensah. Going to try it out soon.

If money ain't an issue, a brand called Skins is supposed to be the best.

Yes, the dry fit really works. The "transports moisture away from your body" gimmick is just the material and weave. If you look at any dry fit clothes whether they are Nike, under armor,...etc you will notice that they all are a polyester blend. They weave the polyester so that it brings moisture to the surface of the material and spreads it out much better than regular cotton weaves. More surface area for the sweat=Faster evaporation, its simple physics. Sorry, i worked for Nike for 3 years so i have been somewhat programmed to explain this. I have bought a lot dry fit clothes with my discount and they are great, but overpriced. You can find much cheaper dry fit from other companies.

i have a long sleeve that i wear to bjj gi and no gi and i think it is good stuff. i have a few under armour rash guards and i prefer the dri fit because it has a longer torso lenth. both or very durable.

dri-fit is all i train in. i also use nike's compression shorts. heavy rolling and sparring for 8 months and not one issue regarding durability. love em.

I got one for Christmas and it's fine. The generic brand one I got for $12 at Walmart works just as well though. Save your money imo.
