Nightmares

When I was young I had a terrible nightmare that I was being eaten by the abominable snowman from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. He was huge in my dream, probably 50-feet tall. He picked me up and put me in his mouth and I woke up right as he was getting ready to start chewing. I can still picture being in his mouth and seeing daylight through his teeth.

That dream haunted me for weeks, and I still remember most of it to this day.

i have what i guess is a nightmare. i will get some variation of it sometimes every night for weeks at a time.

it is the ultimate dream. what i want more than anything. but then i wake up and lose it again and again and again.

now, how many beers do i have left

I always have the "Oh noes, I forgot my high school locker combination" and the "Oh noes, I have to take a final today and I didn't even study" nightmares. I also have the dreams where I'm playing a sport, like baseball, and I can't throw the ball. I keep trying to wind up to give it a good throw and it goes 5 feet in the air before bouncing.

I have the same dreams. I will be back in college and I will start to panic because I haven't been to class all semester and finals are the next day.

And then I will have the sports dreams where I can't throw a football or shoot a basketball. I had one last night, in fact, where I was back playing for my HS basketball team. It was nearly impossible to shoot the ball without putting everything in it. Remarkably, though, I did manage to drain a three pointer despite my heavy arms. :-)

I've never had a recurring dream before.
But in yours do you know that's going to happen right away? That he'll look out the window?
Or do you only recollect it after you wake up from it?

I always know what's going to happen as soon as the dream starts, but I can't change it, causing an overwhelming feeling of dread during it that carries over to the next dreams.

Yeah that would be hard to deal with. I'd hate feeling.

Was everyone cheering for you?? Wherever I have a legendary sports dream, I hear people in the crowd yell out my name and say "You can do it!" and "Kid, you got some real hustle in ya!"

I had a dream a few years ago that pops up every now and again. Its starts with my youngest brother (whom I'm really close to), my mom, and me being in the house we grew up in, an old big farm house out in the country. Then my oldest brother (whom I'm not very close with) comes flying in the driveway in his truck with a gun acting like a lunatic screaming that he's gonna kill us all. The details are vivid, I can remember telling my mom to hide in her bedroom, and my youngest brother and I grab guns to defend ourselves with. I can even remember which guns we use, and how many rounds I fired at my oldest brothers truck where he was hiding behind. When I ran out of ammo I told my little brother to be the watch out while I reloaded, it was then that I looked up to see my little brother and best friend get shot through the head by my psycho older brother.

It was the worst thing I have ever dreamed, I was so shocked and sad, but the worst part was my mom yelled from the other room, "What happened?" and I had to tell her that my little brother was killed. I remember having only 8 rounds loaded when my oldest brother rounded the corner in the house and I sent all 8 rounds to his chest killing him. I just saw my little brother murdered, and I just killed my oldest brother all the while my mother was in the next room.

I woke up in complete shock, I was truly depressed for a moment until I realized it was all a nightmare. It fucked me up just thinking about it the next day, even now it sucks to think about. The worst thing is that a variation of the same story comes into my dreams about once a year. That particular nightmare fucking blows.

The crazy part is that we are a loving family in real life, no ill will what so ever. Outside of common brother rough housing growing up we all got along great, and even today I enjoy going to both of their houses for bbq's and beers. Thats what makes this nightmare so horrible, and the fact that it recurs sucks a big ol dick.

I have been in some pretty bad car accidents and it is not uncommon for me to have dreams where I die in a car accident.

Ive taken ambien one time in my life. That night I had the worst nightmare imaginable.

It involved an abandon house in the woods on a large estate and a massive flaming horse statue.

Was the most terrifying thing imaginable.

I had a dream that turned into a nightmare.

My jiu jitsu class and I worked in a Chinese restaurant ala Fist Of Fury. Rude tourist showed up and we kicked their ass.

Then we went on a trip to Africa and we became the rude tourists at their restaurant. We started rumbling with the workers. Only difference was these guys had machetes and killing us. I almost made it out and thought there was only several guys we could take out but the whole village showed up with more machetes. All of my friends were killed. Then I woke up. Pretty crazy how I had hope of escaping but in the end, I didn't even have a chance.
