For the last two weeks I've been having nightmares every fucking night. I wake up around 4-5 am scared as fuck and can't go back to sleep. I'm not going through any personal issues or anything, no huge stress at work, no quarrels with the wife, nothing, really no reason for this shit. The nightmares are different every time, no reoccurring themes.

I feel like shit and just can't take it anymore. Any advice, Sherbros?
Thanks in advance.

Embrace them. Become the nightmare.

Nightmares as I sleep are blessed reprieve from those I live awake.

Have you been eating anything out of the ordinary or taking any new supplements lately?

Have you been watching dark shit on the interwebz/tv?

New supplement - Animal Flex since March. But the nightmares started a few days before that I think.

No dark shit, just ordinary MMA violence. :D

What are the dreams about? Often times I find my dreams are manifested subconscious thoughts and feelings. Maybe there is something deeper you're thinking about but are burying.

In all seriousness. Smoke a bit of weed before bed. I never dream (that I remember when I wake). If you're not a smoker and don't enjoy weed than look into a THC vape pen. It's nothing like smoking a joint but the effects are there and you can get flavoured ones to make it more enjoyable. My wife has recently started having a few puffs before bed and it's helped. She has terrible dreams and had been turning to way too much alcohol to try and help her.

This is the one I use

Often it's me getting attacked and running away or fighting and sometimes killing the attacker. Attackers are random, not people that I know. But there's other stuff like car chases, weird accusations, sometimes monsters etc. Besides aggression and conflict I can't find a common theme.

Do you feel in danger in anyway irl? Is something out there frightening you irl? Do you feel weak like you can't defend yourself irl? Are there people you can't trust in your real life surrounding you?

Just throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks.

Thanks for the advice but pot is VERY illegal where I live so I don't want to get in trouble. Besides when I smoked in Amsterdam a few years back (where it is legal) I didn't sleep all night because listening to music was too enjoyable to waste the time on sleep. :D

i agree 100%. there is something the threadstarter has refused to acknowledge, that emerges once he sleeps. it happened to me years ago.

The common theme is that you are not accepting or addressing an element of your life that you find deeply upsetting.

Nah, the city is generally safe, nothing to be scared of. I assume I can defend myself against the random chav if need be. I generally surround myself with ppl that I do trust. And the ones that I don't (at work) aren't much of a threat.

Maybe, but I just don't know what that is.

How did you manage to find out what that was? What did you do to fix the problem? Could you please share?

Maybe, but I just don't know what that is.

Really have to be honest with yourself if you want to figure it out. Might be something in the past that still bothers you that you don't like to think about or talk about.
