Media Nick post fight

This. He's always been incredibly awkward in interviews, doesn't make eye contact, and is extremely anxious. I think he struggles pretty bad with anxiety because of this which leads to interview like this one. He's never been eloquent with his words and a lot of his interviews are like this where he just goes off on random tangents.

I agree he’s always been awkward but he literally looked like that and drunk and high on meth in this interview.

He very well could have been, more likely blow than meth if he's on something like that. The interview was bad, but it's not like Nick has ever been a wordsmith.

Nick seemed so drunk that he couldn't finish simple sentences that he started. eg. "Don't forget about, uh... uh don't forget about uh.... Don't forget about uhh the one and only." That's not a hard sentence nor thought to complete. It's 4 words. "Don't forget about me."
I don't think that was "drunk".

Nick is on that spinning shit again
Didn’t know he was doing bad
Hope Nate fixes him up if true

I honestly dont think its that at all. They got old,and Nick especially is dealing w serious trauma.

They were always in your face pressure fighters, and theres a price to pay in damage to fight like this. Mexican style. People who got an axe to grind wanna blame weed, but it really comes down to damage to the dome and age.
Age and damage aside, the weed did not help them. I don’t think it’s a popular opinion because many of us use it and don’t want to face the reality that’s it’s not “harmless” particularly at the high amounts that they appear to use it

Nick is better than nate tho. Aside from not having motivation he has more tools than nate and the biggest one was some power.

He's accomplished more than Nate but he hasn't been at Nates level in almost a decade. Nick would get KOd by Jake.

that was hard to watch as a nick diaz fan. though i do think he'd put up a better fight than nate.

I been a fan since the beginning and they have had some good fights over the years. Both of them shouldn’t be fighting anymore. It has to suck not realizing your way past your prime and thinking about making a comeback. Nick looked like he was on meth last night.

Both of them should stay retired. If they are going broke then it’s time for celebrity boxing championships

Was Nick acting really strange in that post fight interview? Or was it just my imagination?

That’s Nick.. he’s ALWAYS been like that. The shades inside was something I don’t think I’ve ever seen before.

But otherwise that’s Nick.

Outside of saying wild stuff as usual, he was more personable and coherent than we've seen in a while...doesn't mean it was good, just not as bad as it's been the last few years imo

Well I said aside from not being motivated. Which I meant that he isn’t training nor will he take training seriously. And of course I would be referencing Nick at his peak. Maybe I should’ve said was. I didn’t think anyone would assume that I meant at this moment. Although I do believe if Nick actually trained and was serious he would be better than nate. Now, that’s an anomaly because most younger sibling end up outshining and performing their bigger siblings. But I think Nate was always Nick minus nick’s power. I don’t think he eclipsed Nick in the terms of skill. But I could definitely be wrong.
Nick > Nate in accomplishments in MMA.
Nate > Nick in getting paid and speaking in sentences.

Reactions: Yep
Nick has always been jealous of Nate’s success and it shows here too. Pretty pathetic if you ask me especially bc Nate has always credited his brother.
I need more examples; I saw a guy that was ready to cry backstage when Nate beat Conor. Plus I assumed he was talking about the Paul brothers.

Nick and Nate really dulled their skills by over indulging on weed.
Their slurred speech, deteriorating boxing skills, and slower reflexes are testament to the effects of weed, even on the more elite athletes. Perhaps a lack of training also contributed

Many elite athletes smoke a lot of weed. That’s no secret. The weed is getting way too much blame here. There are many factors at play here with the Diaz brothers that made them how they are.

Lovable but frustratingly stubborn and at times delusional. I mean Nate Diaz has deluded himself into thinking leg kicks aren’t damaging. He refuses to check kicks all while getting his lead leg chewed up in every fight he’s in now.
