Apparently he agrees with the last Robin fight and thought Marat beat Sittichai in Paris lol

If he believes Marat is one of the top guys I wonder how he feels about Yodsanklai since that fight was crazy one sided. Marats great but you cant compare him to the 3 lefties: Yod, sittichai & Petro

Same old "but its Glory scoring" excuse.

Marat gave Sittichai a much tougher fight than RVR though

Nick has ties to both Robin and Marat so he's going to be biased when it comes to their fights. He's also going to publicly side with them. I can honestly see his point of view. If he believes the kicks to Robin's arms were blocked then I can see why he would give the win to Robin. I disagree with him, but I can see why he would see it that way and side with Robin.

I'm obviously a fan of Marat's, but I'm also a fan of Sittichai. I saw their fight as pretty even. I believe Sittichai won, but Marat stood toe to toe with Sittichai. It may be my small bias towards Marat, but I wouldn't have been shocked if that fight went an extra round. In my opinion this fight was closer and more entertaining than the Robin fight, but I haven't rewatched the fight so I could be totally off here.

Looking at who's currently in Glory, I could see Marat being a top lightweight in the promotion. Petrosyan may not be fighting much longer because of issues with his hands. I can see Marat beating Robin, Kiria and Jauncey. That currently leaves Sittichai. I think Marat is arguably a top 5 lightweight now behind Sittichai, Petrosyan, Yodsanklai and van Roosmalen.

"But Marat blocked all of Yodsanklais kicks... Marat actually won that fight!!!"

If you try to find a way to rationalize the decision (Sittichai vs RvR) sure you will, but for the majority of the unbiased viewers it's pretty clear who really won that fight. Now Sittichai vs Marat could (well i think it should have) definitely have gone to an extra round.

How in the world could the second fight go to an extra round? Marat lost all 3 rounds of that fight and yes it was closer than the first but he still didn't do enough to win a single round let alone make it a draw. Marat lost no matter how you want to look at the fight got beat. Sittichai had a groin injury and still out beat him no matter what scoring criteria you want to use be it kickboxing, muaythai or boxing and beat him in every aspect of the fight

Yeah Marat had some good parts of the fight and made it close but cant see him winning any of the rounds.

Personally, I think the interviewer was in serious need of an overdue haircut;P
Thank you for sharing. Hope the video interviews are of interest going forward.
Benjamin Adegbuyi and Jesse Saunders are on the next two Kickboxingplanet podcasts that'll drop after this weekend, fyi.
