Nick Diaz v Machida

Nick Diaz is a god of war, but Machida would absolutely pick him apart.
 
Machida by decision in a fight so loudly booed that at least a few audience members go deaf.
 
This would be a great match up, and hopefully something they would both be interested in. It would be nice to pair that up with a Nate Diaz vs Anthony Pettis/Edson Barboza winner. I would like to see the Diaz's co-headline a UFC in Cali and see how the numbers would be.
 
Imo, the Dragon wins easily. Most likely a decision.

Machida pretty easily. And Nick would say he ran the whole fight. And to be honest Machida probably would haha.

Considering Machida's run at the title back in the day it's so surreal to even see this be a question now. For a moment in time you would have been insane to say anything but Machida by destruction.

Lyotos glass chin can barely handle a gust of wind, it certainly wouldn't handle the Stockton slap.
 
Prime, 30-year old Machida? The one who destroyed the also prime Rashad Evans? He beats any version of Nick very easily. At this point, it's a closer fight, but I still think Lyoto wins.
 
I love them both dearly, but I think that would be an ugly night for Nick.

Then again I thought the same thing about the Anderson fight, and Nick's magical powers somehow pulled off essentially a draw in that one, which was absolutely amazing to me, so who knows.
 
Machida easily outscores him in a boring marathon.
