Nah he did a test cut to 170 a couple months before that Lawler fight, was unhealthily shredded yet turned up fat as f***. Cesar Gracie said after it was due to his neck injury, which resulted in 2 replaced discs after I believe.
 
i mean lets see

in his last fight nick diaz tapped out due to being tired. nick diaz of all people tapped out. just gave up. the fight wasn't in him. if someone made a prediction like that in the 2010s it would have caused a commotion here.

Him or Nate went vegan for periods of time but not full time. Mighta been Nate, dunno if it was every fight. I think they were consistently pescatarian.

Didn't he look dialed in leading up to the last fight too? We can't compare how he looks in an a social media post to how he looked in his last fight when it was the real deal and when it actually mattered. I'd like it if he came in serious and looked good, but you gotta keep it real.

I can't envision Nick doing anything out of envy/jealousy of his brother, I think what's more likely is that Nick needs money.
