Ngannou vs. Gane will most likely end in a quick KO in Round 1.

I totally disagree and think the exact opposite. Gane by lopsided unanimous decision, might even be a TKO leg kicks win too.. but probably a decision.

No one really kicks in UFC HW modern day lol, but I noticed the very few times Ngannou did get leg kicked he didn't have a clue what to do, he auto started loading up, he didn't know how to check or block it. I think he is gonna get leg kicked to death and also many body kicks.

I would say though that lowkicking Ngannou is a lot more dangerous than lowkicking Lewis.

I think really the biggest unknown is Ngannou's mental strenght, will he freeze up again as vs Lewis if Gane does pick away at him sucessfully for awhile or lands a good counter or was that just a one off following his first loss and a fear of gassing?

After all the hype for this fight, and all this talk about Gane being so skillful blah blah blah, watch it end quickly in Round 1 with Ngannou KOing Gane. This is all just nonsensical hype for a new fighter (Gane).
It's like you have never watched a fight before.

What a stupid rehtroic that the UFC is hyping gane.

Gane has proven himself above all else that he is cerebral, technical and patient. HW's like gane only come by once in a while, he's the most complete HW fighter we have maybe EVER seen in the UFC the man does it all.

Man, cerebral really shouldn't be used to describe fighting :) Tactical maybe, fight IQ... cerebral is a bit too cerebral for people getting punched and kicked in the face.

I agree though, Gane is the favourite. He should be more than capable to win even via a finish after round 1.

Maybe even rnd1, who knows, it's not like Gane is a small dude or anything. We might see a devastating high kick early on.

I have this weird feeling that this will happen:

Statistically we are talking about a guy who has 4 KO/TKO in 10 fights, and only one in round 1 against a bum.
And on the other side, a guy who has never been finished or knocked down while facing pretty much all the KO artists on the roster (Overeem, Stipe 2x, JDS, Lewis, Rozenstruik).

Gane has to be fast on his feet and make perfect decisions for 5 minutes. Not easy to do for anyone. Hard for me to imagine his style beating Nganous at the weightclass. I’m gonna go ahead and agree with you here.

WAR NGANOU TIME TO STICK IT TO THE MAN!

I think ngannou will come out blazing hot and gas out by the second. Gane will win by TKO in the third. I just think he's too versatile for ngannou.

I don't think he should be looking past Gane at all. Talking about boxing and shit when he's supposed to be getting ready for what could possibly be the worst match up for him is dumb.

The UFC is hyping Gane and dehyping Ngannou for obvious reasons, the very fact the former got an interim title match in that situation should tell you as much.

Gane's looked good definitely but I think the strength of certainty he'll win this fight is partly down to that hype.
What are you even talking about?

Derrick Lewis CLEARLY earned his title shot and Francis did not fight Derrick Lewis for no real reason, he wasn't injured or anything, gane stepped into that fight. you can argue the interim title was made for lewis who had earned a shot fair and square, and the ufc didn't want to take that from him.

Certainly possible with Ngannou’s power, but I actually like this fight to go late. Late stoppage or decision (for Gane).

Five rounds is a long time to go without getting touched by Francis, especially when you’re not a wrassler like Stipe. All Ngannou needs is one punch.

I know, that's why I said a weird feeling.

So basically I'm sensing a Holly type situation. You remember how Holly was point fighting before the Ronda fight, well I'm getting the same feeling from Gane.

I think Ngannou is expecting a point fighter, and Gane will come in with a few deadly tricks up his sleeve, and try to catch him by surprise.

Either way, I love that I'm not rooting for either one. I can watch in peace :)

But if I had to bet, I'd go with Gane via finish by rnd 3.

I've never seen writing on the wall more clear than this, Francis is not winning. He's always focused on and talking about the wrong things. he's too caught up about money and boxing. he doesn't really want to do this. this man is not a draw and cries about 500-600k guaranteed per fight. Gane wants to do this. you can tell by how Gane fights his title defenses for him.
Gane also has a tremendous fight iq

Yea, easy money on Ngannou here. I don't see where Gane has the advantage in this fight. Gane is a technical striker with a good gas tank, but the problem for him is that Ngannou is also a fast/explosive technical striker who has a big power advantage and good gas tank. Nagnnou is also going to have the reach advantage to top it all off. Gane would have to fight the perfect fight here, but his recent fights have shown that he leaves a lot of openings that the slow plodding strikers he has been fighting haven't been able to take advantage of.

Fight goes the exact way jds vs Ngannou went. Gane and jds need time to time and warm up. They dont have that luxury vs Ngannou the Champ...

Frank has that Fedor thing going on where they beat everyone but people think they are going to lose every fight.

Francis has an insane resume. Cereal is a good athlete but he keeps his hands down and we don't know anything about his chin. While I think it's his toughest match in a long time, Frank ran through guys like Cain, JDS, Reem and Rozenstruik who were all supposed to be challenges.

Absolutely.

He may be in the GSP, Mighty Mouse tier of fight IQ. His on the fly decision making and abillity to make adjustments makes him different from the other hws of time past

What I wonder is, does gane get coaxed into anything? I would imagine the first round is some feeling out. Leg kicks by both. Solid defense by gane.

crowd starts booing i wonder if gane feels that champion whip pressure to trade punches? My gut says no way. He seems really locked into his game plans

Dana WHite has some Kansas beachfront property to sell to you.

the opposite can happen as well, ngannou going in for the kill to get jabbed and then tko'd in the process
