Ngannou vs Anthony Johnson

2014-2016 Rumble has a chance, he probably was the most dangerous LHW ever.
Today's Rumble after three years away from the Octagon, powerlifting BS and coming back for a paycheck ? He gets smoked.

Rumble is coming back at LHW

Also he will be like 37 when he comes back and being off the absurd cycles he took to get to 285lbs.

I won't be surprised if Rumble comes back as a shelf of his former self and gets beaten into retirement (again).
This is what I’m concerned about. Crossing my fingers and toes that we’re gonna see a vintage LHW Rumble though.

Hasn't fought in years and will be facing probably the top 5 hardest puncher in UFC history and Rumble's fight game relies on bullying and overwhelming opponents. Styles make fighta. Nagannou makes Rumble's bed and tucks him in. Singing him an African lullaby

Talk about Power vs Power!

Heard recently that Rumble was down to something like 230ish and thought, if not Jones, who would be an interesting fight for him?

Obviously this would be at HW.

My initial thought was, whoever connects first. Both have ridiculous power and could easily KO the other with a good punch. Now, this is where I could be wrong, but I think Rumble has more tools and more ways to win. Sure, he has atomic KO power. But in the power department, I'd give a slight edge to Ngannou. Cardio I see to be pretty even. What Rumble has that Ngannou doesn't is a strong wrestling background and heavy kicks to the dome. And that's why I'd give him slight favor in this match up.

Haven't seen anyone talking about this as a possible fight. If I'm wrong, my apologies for the repetition.

So, Rumble vs. Ngannou....who ya got sherdog, and why?

Mods- If you'd be so kind to include a poll, I'd appreciate it.
It would be a fun fight and yeah, you're right that Rumble is the more complete fighter but Francis is substantially bigger. Both these guys like to counter but Francis is almost exclusively a counter puncher.

Rumble is more likely to get frustrated waiting for Francis and start leading which would create the openings the longer more powerful Francis is looking for. Rumble would be a little faster but I imagine it's not enough of an advantage to play a really significant role and all his most violent KOs came on the counters so if I had to bet my money would be on Francis with Wrestling never playing a role and kicks being few and far between.

The fight could just as easily end up looking like Lewis Francis though with both being hesitant to make the first move but I doubt Rumble has the patience for that to happen.

What the hell is everyone talking about? Rumble's weakness is his grappling. If it was a standup fight I would pick Rumble to knock out Ngannou. His striking is way cleaner and crisper.
He couldn’t knockout arlovski, his power isn’t impressive at heavyweight
