Media Ngannou pays respect to Stipe

And I think most knew based on the damage Stipe took with DC, that Francis would roll in the rematch..
 
I knew Ngannou would learn from that fight like no other. That fight was a epiphany for him I believe.

And that's really nice of him to say those words about Stipe, he is one of the greatest of all-time.

i'm not saying either way, i don't know him personally but just because you make 1 instagram post that isn't a reflection of your actual personality, or did you forgive Jon Jones after he posted on instagram massaging his wife's feet?

I don't think he was mentally there, he checked out in that fight. He was still reeling from his last fight with Stipe. It took awhile for Ngannou to get over that loss with Stipe and to learn from it.

I'm pretty sure Stipe wants avenge the loss to Francis. We have to wait and see how Francis vs Gane will play out. And if Francis wins Stipe has to start kissing Dana's butt to get a rematch

I’d like to see Stipe fight someone in the mean time too. HW’s generally have a longer career than the lighter weight classes, and if Stipe puts on weight like he said we was going to, he should have no problem talking on someone like Blaydes or Volkov and then working himself into the title fight

The excuses didn't matter with miocic even though he fought MORE per year than the avg HW champ BEFORE needing eye surgery after cormier tried to gouge his eye out.

As I said above, the excuses don't matter, so when you add it up - ONE fight in 2020 for nganoo and ONE fight in 2021 for ngannoo. That means the current HW champ gives you ONE fight a year. ONE is a number you can't argue, it's right there in black and white.

I could reverse that and ask for proof that Francis has been consistently arrogant enough to justify Dana's comments, the onus is on the ones calling Francis arrogant I believe. His old coach might just be salty, he should've gotten a written agreement if he feels he deserved more pay, he didn't negotiate properly it seems.

He said July-August once in the post fight interview after winning in March. Is it unconceivable that his availablity could have changed afterward? Was September abnormaly late for a title defense?
And it's not Ngannou who tried to handpick Jones, Dana White publicly said it was the plan before Stipe-Ngannou 2.
