Ngannou has significantly better technical striking than Lewis, and is far faster and more durable. I don't think we've even seen him rocked, and he crossed the cage in a heartbeat to take out Roz.

Gane is going to have to fight an absolutely perfect game for at least 3 rounds, but more likely 5 as ngannou has never been stopped.

As an aside to that, Cyril is an awesome kickboxer for a HW, but his defense is based on his footwork and reach. He keeps his hands low and doesn't move his head much, and that seems like a bad recipe against Ngannou.

All in all, cyril definitely has a solid chance at winning, but writing off Ngannou is absolute insanity.

More the result of a weaker Stipe imo. You may think Francis is a completely different fighter but he's not. Gane is a terrible matchup for him.

true but was ko ed since went into 2 wars with DC and was about 20 to 15 pounds ligther

ngannou wishes he was lewis because lewis absolutely destroyed ngannou and has him shook to the core.
 
i think Ngannou is just more accurate. he's not really that technical most of the time. he's just confident in his power, is pretty fast, and lets his hands go a lot early on. it's a great strategy because most HWs have shit defense.

Lewis on the other hand has a better ground game in my opinion and is more tactical in his setups. i don't see either being better than the other, just different.
 
Gane is way more technical than Ngannou, sure. So is Stipe, right? Ngannou looked way more collected and calculated against Stipe, technical or not, than he had prior to that fight. That strategy went pretty well as Stipe had nothing for him. This fight is gonna be more interesting than most people think, imo.

Stipe had much more mileage on him than in the first fight. Doesn't change the fact that he got straight up outstruck by Francis with technique. Francis had excellent distance management, repeatedly touched Stipe with his jab, countered off of the jab, set up his power shots with the jab, reversed a TD into a dominant position and partially landed a head kick from a feint.

Claiming that Stipe was punchdrunk and that Francis just overwhelmed him like he did with Rozenstruik isn't reality.

Maybe Gane does light Francis up, but the notion that Ngannou is just some wild swinging brute is laughable. He never would've beaten any version of Stipe without the ability to follow a gameplan and without several technical improvements from where he was at the time of the first fight.
 
I will laugh my ass off when Gane starts throwing from the outside, moves, makes Ngannou miss again and again, and dismantle him :D

The big difference really is that Francis is clearly a lot faster than Lewis and more able to push forward. He didnt do that against Lewis of course but I think besides fallout from Stripe that was partly because Lewis is most dangerous on the counter.

The kind of game that Gane has shown so far were he's fought fairly slowly controling distance and picking away against opponents I do think theres a case isnt so suited to Francis. Againt him I think either the threat of powerful counters or the ability to get out of the way of very aggressive bullrushes becomes more important.

Doesnt mean Gane can't do those things, maybe he can and we just havent seen it yet because he's not really had to.

I came to say something similar to this. Lewis is not as mobile as Ngannou. Gane had to run and reset from Lewis a couple of times, and that doesn't bode well if Ngannou decides to bumrush him early. It is a close fight, imo, but Ngannou is more technical and mobile than Lewis.
 
Ppl forget Ngannou got 4 wins by submission..
