Derrick Lewis isn't a sloppy brawler. Francis Ngannou isn't necessarily a more technical striker than him.

I'd agree "more technical" might be a bit questionable although you could argue Ngannou has shown more variety of effective strikes such as dropping Stipe with a jab.

The big difference really is that Francis is clearly a lot faster than Lewis and more able to push forward. He didnt do that against Lewis of course but I think besides fallout from Stripe that was partly because Lewis is most dangerous on the counter.

The kind of game that Gane has shown so far were he's fought fairly slowly controling distance and picking away against opponents I do think theres a case isnt so suited to Francis. Againt him I think either the threat of powerful counters or the ability to get out of the way of very aggressive bullrushes becomes more important.

Doesnt mean Gane can't do those things, maybe he can and we just havent seen it yet because he's not really had to.

Most of the time, my only research before placing a bet is spending less than a minute looking at who the two fighters have fought and how they've done against those fighters and their different styles. Then I'm just looking to see how they've done against mutual or similar opponents. It gets pretty easy from there, and even more so in WMMA.

The Beast is low key one of the most underrated fighters on Sherdog.

Deceptivlely good timing and fight IQ to go along with having Thor's Hammer for a right hand.

Funny enough Ngannou faces a lot of the same criticism the Beast does. Sherdog idiots just don't understand that HW is a different ball game than the rest of the divisions and they think they're some fight genius pointing out the lack of technique or whatever.

Ngannou is more mobile, has a longer reach, better chin, and packs even more power but I don't see how he has better technique than Lewis. Maybe slightly. The way I see it he's basically a jacked more physically gifted version of Lewis (which is a scary thing indeed) but he has the same weaknesses, namely his technique and cardio.

I'm seeing more and more this sentiment that since Cyril clowned BB, he's gonna do the same to Ngannou. Where the fuck is that coming from?

Ngannou has significantly better technical striking than Lewis, and is far faster and more durable. I don't think we've even seen him rocked, and he crossed the cage in a heartbeat to take out Roz.

Gane is going to have to fight an absolutely perfect game for at least 3 rounds, but more likely 5 as ngannou has never been stopped.

As an aside to that, Cyril is an awesome kickboxer for a HW, but his defense is based on his footwork and reach. He keeps his hands low and doesn't move his head much, and that seems like a bad recipe against Ngannou.

All in all, cyril definitely has a solid chance at winning, but writing off Ngannou is absolute insanity.

Lewis is arguably better than Ngannou not only does he has a win over frank but he ko ed Blaydes stiff while Francis only tko ed him , while Francis has been figthing mostly washed up glas jaw dynosaurs such as Arlovski , Overeem , Stipe and Cain BB has been figthing young iron chinned contenders such as Daukaus ,Gane ,Latifi ,Ivanov ,Volkov , Tybura ,Brown(at the time) and Shamil Abdurakhinov even Oleynik beat Werdum before Lewis ko ed him

BB is also agruably the better boxer

Yeah it's wild. I don't really understand it. He's one of the most exciting KO artists in UFC history and seem like a good dude who probably has one of the toughest backgrounds possible.
