Another one bites the dust....
Another one bites the dust....
Yup. Muscle tires you out. Stipe has to get past the first round then his chances increase as every round goes by.
Which is not necessarily an advantage.
LolIt's more than a 30 lb difference.
Ngannou is dehydrating to get under 265
Stipe is so far below 265 he has no reason to dehydrate.
In-octaton Francis is probably at least 50 lbs heavier
Simultaneously, when he speaks and isn't locked in a cage, he's also the least scary guy in MMA.Scariest guy in MMA. By a mile.
My man, that might be the GOAT rack on that chick.
As for this fight, what all you folks are missing is that we're getting into big fish eats little fish territory. 40+ lb difference is not merely a speed or cardio advantage, even with the same strength you have less mass to throw around and lay on a guy.
If Ngannou can shrug him off he'll land 1 or two bombs in the process and that's game over.
I think Stipe traded size and strength for speed, endurance, and agility during the DC trilogy. Which in this fight will help Stipe take down a gassed Ngannou in the mid/later rounds should Stipe make it to those rounds.
It will also help Stipe avoid getting hit, but also weaken his ability to take a blow should one land clean (along with age and the wars he went through against DC).
