In a way this is good news for Ngannou fans. Imagine if he was simply just that bad after years of training. There's nowhere to go but up.
Because at HW, heavy hands can get you far without forcing you to expose your weaknesses in what is historically a weak division technique wise. It's why undersized HW's in Fedor and Cormier found success there. They had power, but they were faster, and had better technique than the larger HW's. Size is only beneficial up to a certain degree when grappling is involved. So, he doesn't train on the ground, and he is not even a good striker (very bad form).
It is a amazing how somebody with so little athletic experience can just train a couple of years and contend in the UFC.
The talent pool in MMA is so shallow. I don't respect any of these so called "HW GOATs."
Yeah, but Ngannou is the better bodybuilder, so it evens out.Art JImmerson was a better striker though.
Maybe that's also Hunt's issue. After all those decades, he still hasn't picked up on the fact that you need to train grappling to further succeed in MMA.In a way this is good news for Ngannou fans. Imagine if he was simply just that bad after years of training. There's nowhere to go but up.
You have to love how Rogan is trying to save face now. There's zero chance that he does no grappling training at all. This is bullshit to try to get the hypetrain started again. Just wait to see him again now that he realizes he actually has to train grappling! OMG!!!
He got beat by a better, more experience, more well rounded fighter. It's not a surprise. He'll fight for the title again.
Beating a 50 year old Couture, an overzealous Mir who he outweighed by close to 50lbs and a gassed out Carwin ain't shit. Not to mention, Lesnar was juiced to the gills.Brock didn't let people hit him in the face during training, and he still got the HW belt and defended it twice.
Jacked White Boy > Cameroonian Ford Escort
Yes, Art was way more technical.Art JImmerson was a better striker though.
He can get a TS in two fights (so a year) if he wants to. But he'll probably need longer than that to work on his grappling and a gameplan for Stipe/Cain that takes into account his lack of stamina. Weird situation if you think about it. Has a fighter ever said no to a TS to focus on getting better?Ngannou found out that being a freak athlete with explosive power doesn't matter if you cant land the bomb... Pretty sure he will learn from his mistakes and train harder. The guy still has a lot of fights left in him to work his way back up.
He’s been training for like 5 years. Even if he had been training ground stuff, it wouldn’t be enough to stop someone that’s been wrestling their whole life.

lol someone is mad because Brock is HW GOAT.Beating a 50 year old Couture, an overzealous Mir who he outweighed by close to 50lbs and a gassed out Carwin ain't shit. Not to mention, Lesnar was juiced to the gills.
Your other av was so much sweeter, good post.Lol exactly, N'Gannou went into this fight going "Wrestling? Takedown defense? Don't need it!" Love the man, but to neglect wrestling and his overall ground game to bank on landing one shot was boneheaded by both him and his team. If they weren't being yes men hyping him up, they would have drilled Takedown defense and how not to throw himself off balance throwing long punches.
Hahahahahaha!!!lol someone is mad because Brock is HW GOAT.
nah crack doesnt actually make you crazy. it is the homeless desolate existence combined with crack that makes people break.
that said. Rogan is smoking crack.
The mayor of Toronto was homeless? He was living in City Hall?
