Naw, it’s the same thing, JJ stripped of his belt and it went back to DC.

JJ says to DC, “you never beat me” implying paper champ DC, Paper champ Jan and so on, you can’t have it both ways.

it’s quite simple, Ngannou is simply using Jon’s own words against him, even if it’s wrong, hence the pick which side of the fence comment.

The only person disputing double champ is Jon. The only person disputing DC as the LHW champ is Jon. Ngannou isn’t saying you didn’t beat me, therefore you can’t be champ, it’s Jon’s word’s

Yes I’m quite sure Ngannou will be paid ONE BILLION dollars.

He’ll be lucky to even get that fight. If he does he makes $7M tops. Probably more like $5M. Ngannou screwed Ngannou.

Does Jones seem like the kind of person who would give up three years of his prime (and the spotlight and the paycheque) to put on lean mass at the chemically-unassisted rate of less than 1lbs per month?

I can’t stand Dana as my post history will certify..

But you still haven’t told me how someone who is not a big star in his own sport is going to get the casual boxing fan to plunk down 80 bucks to watch him get knocked out by a fighter who also doesn’t have the same drawing power he used to?

I don’t think you get part of the potential drawing power of this went away when Francis left the UFC. He’s not the heavyweight champion anymore. Hell neither one of them are champions anymore.
 
lmao Jon is fighting for a second belt after 13 title defenses and being considered by many to be the goat.

Francis turned down the biggest offer he's ever received to leave the UFC and pursue a boxing match that nobody cares about, and will likely never happen. He's now sitting in the corner collecting dust with no payday in the foreseeable future.

There's nothing this man can say to Jones without sounding like a complete clown.

Listen to Mike Tyson. It doesn't mean anything dude. As a fighter, you need that fear, to propel you to your full potential.

A lot of fighters and boxers say they need that fear, nervous energy, butterflies to perform at their best. It keeps them in check.

That's probably a big reason why Jon has had mediocre performances in the UFC. The challenge, magnitude of fight, something to prove element is important and when you've been at the top so long, it isn't always there.

The thing is we'll never be privy to UFC contract negotiations, so we're all bound by our own imaginations and agendas. People who hate Jon will blame him and frame the situation in a way to make him look bad, while fans will do the opposite. :)

1. You think that's what he did. You don't know that he voluntarily stopped fighting at his peak for three years, which is important when people have been suggesting he may have been suspended and allowed to keep it secret.

2. You didn't answer my question.

The point is that, fighting an opponent who only attacks with a singular weapon, that being boxing and power.. especially against a fighter like Jones, who has so many tools on the feet is not as easy as you probably think.

When someone can dictate the kicking range, it's very hard to effectively bypass with just boxing. Which has been seen throughout Jon's career and combat sports as a whole.

Jon's career is full of guys who are primarily threats with their hands, tremendous stopping power but they simply don't find him. He dominates the kicking range and uses his length to mitigate damage extremely effectively.

Francis has power but he's also predictable. His movement and tools are limited within a confined area, which is Incredibly dangerous but you also know precisely what's coming and when.

There's a reason Gane outstruck Ngannou and forced him to wrestle. Boxing can only take you so far at times against a multi faceted fighter with a diverse array of tools.
