People forget that Peycan didn't even win a playoff game until year 6. There was a first round game they lost 41-0 to the Jets.

49ers win... if they run McCaffrey in regular time. 49ers win... if they make their extra point (first miss of the year for the kicker on PATs). 49ers win if they don't fuck up the punt.

That was a lesson on how to hand your opponent a Superbowl win.

It would have been good if they didn't get that extra point blocked but that would also mean Chiefs would have went for it on 4th and goal instead of tying the game. Who knows what would have happened really.

Worst SB match up with the worst outcome. Those first few drives of the second half were terrible for the 49ers. McCaffrey was your best player in the first half so you come out passing in your first 2-3 drives putting yourself behind the sticks? So stupid.

Dude's been in the league 6 years, and is def on a GOAT-like trajectory. But there's no argument he has a stronger legacy than Montana and especially Brady, at this point. Thus, he is not in the GOAT convo.

And calling him top 5ish all time, at this point, is not taking anything from him.
