MD isn't even gonna make the roster. Old man Adrian Wilson is gonna push him out.... He can't even beat Conte out and he ain't even playing.

Blown coverages in Chicago is exactly what The Doctor ordered

Lulz.... Hope Shea gets another crack at Rodgers.

Lol if you chop that gif up and look at it frame-by-frame, Conte was at the 25 and Cobb was at the 20 when the ball had just started to fall. 5 full yards lol wtf

Yeah, that was a bad, bad coverage job, he could have made that catch in his sleep.

Also, I would like to retract my vote for Dalton. Thought he was getting 18-20 for sure. He's still getting paid too much, but not in the context of League QB Need. Bengals know they need a competent quarterback to take advantage of their time as a contender, and there are no guarantees drafting QBs. I don't like seeing him compared to guys like Wilson and Kaerpernic ("winning on good teams") though, it's silly to say the Bengals aren't one of the top-5 "complete" teams in the NHL, in fact, their weakest link is at quarterback. This might be true of San Fran and Seattle also, but people still expect things of Kaep and Wilson. I don't think anyone is honestly telling themselves Dalton is going to get much better. If he can play at a proper mediocre pace, they can still probably win a Super Bowl with a few breaks, the Burfict Storm if you will.

Also, the Texans "Why Your Team Sucks" is out, and it's brutal. I know he exaggerates for comic effect, but their coaching and QB situations are going to be something.

Also, from the Jaguars letter yesterday...
"If a head coach lost to the Jaguars in 2013, that coach was fired."

still better than 70% of other nfl starting QBs.
cincy has no other choice really

I don't know about all that. The team is good, but they're not some sort of destroyer to where they're in "omg we need to win nao!!111" mode. He's a fucking bum, should have sent his ass packing and drafted Bridgewater, and put that money towards helping the secondary

Bungals are slaves to mediocrity right now. They make the playoffs yet never win anything, hit the bare minimum every year. That shouldn't be enough, that team should be AFC championship-level contenders, not constant first round cans

They had a choice and didn't have the balls to call a can a can. But to be fair, not many teams would have

Bengals remind me of the Texans from a couple of years ago. Great all around team other than the can QB. They could get a lucky and win a sb, but Dalton will probably completely shit the bed at some point and the Bengals will be in the same situation the Texans are now.

Pretty much. If you could have one thing in the NFL, you'd probably want to have a quarterback who isn't going let his play slip to the level of a Freeman or a Sanchez. I do think Dalton has all the tools to be a Hall of Fame choke artist, but at least the Bengals can draft a few project QBs and hope they turn out, knowing he will give them a + TD/Int ratio and ~60% Completions every season. Their offensive line is very reliable, and they are so strong everywhere else. I think Dalton is a hard working (NPI) quarterback who wants to help his team and be the best he can be. It just isn't anything special. He just doesn't look like a very natural QB, his instincts are terrible, and he needs to recheck the field quite a bit to see where guys are. Often he needs to, but he doesn't. I think he is a tier above your average can, but if I were a pass rusher I would love to play him.

They are a lot like the Texans. Great defense, and a devastating offensive weapon in every position...but one.

If he goes totally south, I think it will be towards the end of the contract, the Bengals can draft a QB in the 3rd now and then and see what happens. God knows they don't want to end up like the Texcans right now.

Also, from "Why Your Team Sucks":
"Not that I expect anything less from the citizens of Houston, which is the worst city in Texas. You gotta work real hard to be the shittiest city in Texas. I mean, Dallas is right there, and Dallas is everything wrong with American urbanity. But Houston is worse. It's hotter than red death. Traffic is shit. Everyone is dumb. Going to the mall food court counts as fine dining. No one goes to Houston on purpose. It's Phoenix with humidity. One day a giant mosquito swarm will consume the city entirely."

The letters section for that article is ugly.

Dalton's contract is pretty team friendly imo. If he becomes a good NFL qb (doubtful) they have him at a bargain, and if he continues to be a solid regular season, scrub postseason guy that he is now they can cut bait in 2-3 years without much trouble.

Excited for the game tonight but why the fuck are the niners flying across the country for a preseason game?

Raiders, Chargers, Texans, Chefs or Broncos. Just leave it at that for the next decade.

Well, not the Raiders for obvious reasons.

Ya you dont want Mack to break Kaeps legs in pre season.

Feel bad for Bridgewater and Cassel.... First victims for Mack.

Most raider fans have been priced out of the new stadium. It's cool now.

Good thing SF comes Oakland lol.

On a serious note cant wait to check out the new stadium, even though no tailigating is, imo, sacrilegious.

It got released yesterday that the Sharks will host the Kings series there. That will be epic.
