NFL Discussion v53: Waiting for the Draft

Dude... I watched every Bears game... You probably watched 2. Peppers is done. He would go completely invisible for 3 week stretches. But think what you want, you're gonna be disappointed. I loved Peppers when he came to Chicago, but hes a shell of what he used to be. And he'll play out of position.

Maximum they'd get 3 plays a game from him.... If they were lucky.

Peppers was the only person I feared on the Bears. He always tried to murder Raahgaahs. Not just sack him, but really hurt him, in a different way than most other players in the league. I'm glad he's on our side now. Dude was a perfectly-placed Kuhn block away from blowing up our season

Easily his best game of the year. Its like he saved it all for that game.

For the amount the Packers paid Peppers it's probably going to hurt.

I'm not debating he's an aging player. I am debating that the Bears got a better deal. Even though Allen signed for less, he used up the majority of Chicago's cap space -- they are not in a healthy long term position and even had to restructure a deal they JUST signed to make room. Green Bay, meanwhile, is in incredible cap health and still only surrendered a small portion of their available space to sign Peppers, who won't be an every down player and will not have his morale sucked down buy long drives and double teams.

Given context, the Packers have maneuvered better.

nah its fine. 30 million overall but only 7.5 million guaranteed so they can cut him after this year if he cans it up

Pretty slow day in the football world. An entire page dedicated to MD Jennings and washed up linemen.

draft hurry up pls

Oh, nice. I thought it was 10.5 guaranteed. Even better. I don't see the Packers keeping him more than 2 years anyway. Might just be 1 year. He is on the decline for sure.

Yeah we'll see. Im not a huge fan of the move but I really like how they structured the contract so they can get out of it basically whenever. Will be interesting since hes never played in a 3-4, but their D line coach was Carolina's DC when he was there and he wont play as many snaps he did last year. Plus with Clay that means he wont be the best pass rusher like he was everywhere else, so that could ease some pressure off him and he could play well even if hes lost a step.

Police found $29,029 in cash and a number of prescription medication bottles in the Toyota Highlander that Irsay was driving in an upscale area of the suburb north of Indianapolis.

Lmfao Irsay drives a Toyota Highlander

That's probably just the car he drives when he's peddling his wares.

#Bears didn’t represent the biggest $ offer for Jared Allen: #Raiders did. They were willing to pay him $9M. He believed Bears were best fit
