Talking to a guy about d lineman holding offensive lineman and he said

Defenders have always been allowed to grab Offensive blockers on running plays & opposing O-Lineman on passing plays since the game was invented and that has never changed.

Is this true? I was talking about defenders grabbing jerseys when lineman go to pull guard

Percy to the Hawks and Seattle winning the SB are not related in the slightest.

I don't think anyone is suggesting they are. It seems like a bad deal for Seattle, but i can't call it one the worst trades ever either. Teams have many, many times completely besmirched themselves with terrible trades. While this trade may not have helped them in any way (and may have even hurt them, though his future health will probably determine that), it certainly didn't hurt them nearly as bad as a hundred other trades in league history have.

This is pretty true....there have been a lot of horrible trades in NFL history and this one was nowhere near as bad as some others (I of course cringe any time the name Herschel Walker comes up).

But that said I do think we (Cannesota) got the better end of that deal....Percy is an impact player for sure but he is one of those guys who is GUARANTEED to get hurt every season and he's had some attitude issues on top of that. He's not a guy you want to try and build your whole offense around (luckily for Seattle they didn't) but he's a nice piece when he's healthy.

Webb was like the Matt Flynn of the Vikings but with less talent: had one good game and he parlayed that into years of employment.

It'll be interesting to see if they are planning to use him as a backup QB or as a WR. He's got the physical tools to be a good wideout but I don't think he's got the ball skills.

Edit: Apparently I'm a can and didn't read - he will be going as a QB
