This is such a stacked TE class that I hope they didn't overpay for him
Unless it's really tantalizing, there's no point on NE's side. Keep him for the season and lose him to FA. Biggest priority now is signing Hightower.
Yup and they can still franchise him next year, although I think the tag will be reserved for Jimmy G.
That Pats LB core is trash if they don't bring back Hightower. He does already have 2 rings and supposedly hates the cold weather (skipped both parades due to it), but now that the Pats have stacked the deck I think it would be hard for him to walk away unless the Pats are far off from his asking price.

This is vert unBelichick to do these trades. My feeling is this is the start to the end of his time as a coach; he's getting ready for a couple last runs with Brady then giving a dumpster fire to the next guy.

All Pats fans are getting banned.

Hearing the deal that Martellus Bennett got from the Packers – three years, $18.45 million – is actually less than what Jared Cook and the Packers were close to agreeing to.
Lol I guess that works
Lmao he wants 9 mil/year, which is not going to happen with the Raiders. He's worth more like 6-7 million. The Jaguars will likely be happy to pay him that kind of money. That or he'll come to his senses and sign with a contender with realistic monetary expectations.
