Buddy went to the Wizards game last night, his buddy had some sweet ass tickets. He showed me a pic and it was him, his buddy, Clinton Portis and Edgerrin James. I guess them two are friends. Said they were just there, not promoting or anything, just hanging out. Said they were both real nice and cool.

Why would they be there to promote something. Nobody even knows who they are anymore.

Do you really think that's a good idea?

You would ruin a generation of players' brains, not to mention turning football into something more akin to rugby in how defenders would have to tackle the ball carrier.

You understand the source of serious head injuries is helmet to helmet, right?

I don't think it is the solution because shoulder to head would still be a problem. The think it would fix is big helmet to helmet hits and all of the sub-concussive helmet to helmet stuff that is largely the source of CTE.

Of course helmet-to-helmet hits cause brain trauma. I understand wanting to make the game safer- especially for children and teenagers. There are practical steps to take to make the game safer...or there is making football something else that resembles a different game

You cant equip players with what would amount to a rugby helmet and not radically change how the game is played. You cant play the game at the same speed; you cant tackle the ball carrier like you can with a helmet; you cant have the same formations. Its a completely different game.

Im on board with reevaluating what football is. You can only see so many Real Sports episodes about CTE before you realize how serious the issue is. I just dont think you can have it both ways. You either have to make football something else or try to minimize the risks of brain trauma the best you can. Both arent optimal scenarios imo.

they have to do something to change brain injuries or Sundays won't be the same in the future.

Just realized the niners new D coordinator will be bringing the 4-3 defense with him. Niners have been running 3-4 for awhile now so this should be interesting. Not even going to recognize this team in a couple years

4-3 Under, not far off of the 3-4 - Been trying to wrap my head around who fits where, not sure Armstead has a spot (hated the pick at the time!)

LEO - Lynch : Probably need to upgrade this unless he breaks out, but he is our "premier" edge pass rusher
3 Tech - Buckner - Best interior pass rusher, but has proven to be productive as the 5 tech. I still hope he sticks here || Armstead might get spotted here..
2 gap NT - Dorsey or Williams. Basically the same as a NT, lines up over center
5 Tech - I would prefer it to be Armstead. Strong side run stopper, not going to get the same opportunities to rush the passer. Wasting talent having Buckner here IMO
SAM - Ahmad brooks for one more year? He will be exposed in coverage, don't have many other options though
MIKE - Bowman
WILL - Ray Ray - Probably one of the better fits for this scheme on the team..

Hope Bowman can string together a strong healthy finish to his career. One of the most likeable players ever.

Fitztragic or brock the biggest can this year? Or did someone else take it?

Bork by a mile. He signed a big deal with a team that actually has talent and he was their weakest link. They basically got a bye into the playoffs because of the shit division otherwise it would have been incomprehensible demoralization.

Bowman Willis duo was way too short lived... One of the best 1-2 MLB punches of all time, and both come off as the most humble dudes you will ever meet. Wish we could have had them together for 10 years like everyone expected. Now both careers as elite players might be over.

Brock imo as he actually has a good t

Ya that team was really fun to watch with those two hunting the middle of the field.

People pay people to do shit all the time, if they were once famous. I mean, hell everybody in DC still knows Clinton Portis. Edgerrin James is the 12th leading rusher of all time, so he's worth a used car commercial at least.
