They did it on one brief drive where the communication system cut out. It's against the rules but to dock a pick for a mental gaffe by McAdoo would be excessive. Cowboys admitted it had no impact on the game. No harm no foul.

The same standard should have been applied with Deflategate. Actually more than that, the same standard should have been applied that was applied the 4 (before I said 3, but then I remembered that a few of the Colts balls were also found to be deflated from the same game) other documented times when teams were found to have deflated or over-inflated balls (they received literally ZERO punishment for the same offense).
