I feel like he has messed up so many times that he has to do something to show them he deserves to be on the team.

Hes been crazy bad with fumbles and decision making (specifically taking balls out of the deep end zone and getting stopped at the 10).

Belichick has been quick to put guys in the doghouse in the past, I mean Steven Ridley lived in that thing. Any time he put the ball on the ground he was out for the game. He did bench Jones for I think 2 games but it hasn't seemed to help and hes still a dumbass.
