Whay does including Q-Aaron change?
The full chart shows just how stupid QBR is. EPA/Dropback is a million times better. LOL at Stroud and Young in the Top 5.

Even the best advanced metric doesn't convey how terrible the protection was for Herbert or Rodgers. If those equations better factored that stuff in, they'd be at least a big higher, numerically if not ranking-wise, and Hurts would be far worse.

I agree QBR is retarded but Herbert was bad too. Held on to the ball too long. Big flaw of his, he sucks at the quick game.

That's because the Chargers were keeping back an extra one to two blockers on a shitload of plays trying to compensate for their shitty line, and it still didn't work, because even in those non-blitz plays against 3-4 rushers they were giving up a horrendous pressure rate. So he was holding onto the ball waiting for people to be open, but nobody was ever open.

I'd love to see advanced analytic data showing what percentage of route-runners were open or "won" their routes. Even the nerd websites tend to not have that stat for free. I guarantee you it was bongwater.

Only when Marv Levy dies (he's currently 100) will the curse be lifted.

Bill miss extra point on last play of game to lose Bowl for 5th straight time.....

Wouldn't 0-5 be the shits or what?

This............................................................................................................................................................................................................................far away from winning one of those.

I confess I did think Levy had already passed,

He’s always been shit in the quick game. Best he’s looked is when McHonkey was surprising everyone last year, but now people know he can’t handle big-body CB’s.

We all know the Chargers O-Line hasn’t been good, but Herbert either holds the ball for a long ass time and rips in the intermediate or he bolts. He doesn’t have a quick-game and when people take the middle away he falls apart. There’s a reason he sucks sometimes. If you know your o-line is having protection issues, the smart thing to do is get the short game going to alleviate the pass rush. He is horrible at it and teams that figure it out dominate him

LOL, so did I.

Watching them lose 4 in a row was heartwrenching shit....statistically unreal. Allen playing like a man possessed, let's hope the rest of team can pull their weight and help get a title.

We're agreeing

oh shit

the problem is nobody was getting open

Gadsden couldn't get an inside release all night when he went out. Vidal is too small to chip block and release.

Getting to your outlet isnt almost impossible with that pressure.

As you know those were some great Bills teams, to not come away with that championship belt just seems wrong. They should have at least two by now.

If my Niners don't win it, too banged up and won't, yep............GO BILLS!!!!!!!

Not if you can throw the ball quickly in the short game.
I’m not a JaHebert sucks guy, i like him a lot, but every QB has flaws and that’s his. He’s super tall and his release isn’t like an Aaron, Mahomes or Brady that can just be pointguards when people are on their ass and overly aggressive.

When DCs take the intermediate away and lock up whoever is going deep, he holds the ball or bolts.

If nobody is getting a release you have nobody to throw to.

Now, if you want to argue Greg Roman sucks I agree because you can scheme the short game open. The other issue is personnel and play book. If you have a game plan you cant just do a quick switch to west coast style.

Fellow Duck and Charger Dan Fouts had one of the greatest offenses ever, they never won shit.

Herbert needs another team.

Everything I see Jim Harbaugh talk I always think......how is this goofy fuck so damn successful?

Steelers do not need to hire some decrepit old fuck. Go after a young coach like always, maybe an offensive minded one this time.

Tomlin with the Raiders would be sick. He would instantly turn them into a 9-8 team!

The Steelers will go defense with their next HC. It's what they do.

I swore i responded to this.
Either way, Roman does suck but it’s not always everyone else’s fault. Herbert isn’t a rookie anymore and when teams force him into a short game he has no answer. Big flaw to have if he wants to make it to that truly elite tier

Tell that to the fucking offensive coordinator. That isn't Herbert's fault.
