Gonzalez at that time was old, and he wasnt as good as Gates, then Groink, or even Shockey.

Tony's last season with the chiefs he had over 1000 yards and ten touchdowns. White trash shockey has 400 yards and Zero touchdowns. Gates was well below 1000 yards with about 8 touchdowns.
His seasons in Atlanta he beat them both in stats as well, with gates maybe barley beating him here and there. Overall tg was way better. Gronk and Kelce are the only tight ends in his league. And I always give Tony the nod considering the other two play with great quarterbacks and Tony always stuck with the chiefs who wasted most of his career.
