You are better off being like a late first or 2nd round pick, sitting for a year or two and then getting to go in. But the teams want to win while the QB is on rookie contract. And the rookies want to get to that 2nd big contract ASAP. Plus coaches on the hot seat play rookie QBs thinking they can buy another year of coaching.

Or be Brock Purdy and got an amazing team.

You are better off being like a late first or 2nd round pick, sitting for a year or two and then getting to go in. But the teams want to win while the QB is on rookie contract. And the rookies want to get to that 2nd big contract ASAP. Plus coaches on the hot seat play rookie QBs thinking they can buy another year of coaching.

I don't know man....everyone loves to talk about Herbert but he (and his coaches) are habitual chokers. So far he is the opposite of clutch. Though the physical skills are clearly there and his arm is a cannon.

I wouldn't have taken Bryce. He's just too small to hold up IMO. Stroud looks like far and away the better pick at this point. Even Richardson in today's NFL has higher potential.
