49ers are winning because of Purdy, they use to win in spite of Jimmy G. These are his stats against teams likely in the playoffs or still on the cusp. He's 257 YPG, 67%, 2.83:0.75 TD to INT ratio against playoff caliber teams this year, although I excluded the Rams because I don't think they'll get in. He's consistently been #1 in air yards per attempt or top 3 at minimum. His YAC numbers were 48.6% of his yards which is 6% less than Mahomes last year. The argument is easily there. The 49ers were hovering between 12-16th in the league in YAC before this week.

I agree MVP is hard to give to him because of CMC. But Purdy is putting up the stats he's put up against a 56% opponent win percentage (best in NFL) and out of 12 games he only had one bad game, injuries or not.

The bad game? He sucked in Cleveland with injuries to CMC, Deebo, Trent, Greenlaw, raining, on the road against the league's #1 defense when they came off a bye week and the 49ers had their early season superbowl against Dallas. Obvious trap game, but of all the circumstances to justify a poor performance, he checked all the boxes. Does he meet the statistical minimum for MVP consideration? Easily. Does he represent irreplaceable value for his team? I think so.

The energy in California is different with Purdy. Very reminiscent of the same team/fan energy when Brady came up.

Yeah, I think Bills win this one and then the Chiefs win their last 4 finishing at 12 - 5.
