Its retarded and you can say the same thing for any team picking that high, or looking for a franchise QB.

The Bears needed a complete overhaul. So did the Pats. So did the Commanders. So did the Broncos. So did the Lions. So did the Chargers. Etc etc etc.

Then they land a legit franchise QB and all of a sudden they look like a capable team. Its beyond stupid to pass on a QB and hope to build a team without one.
Buddy, this Raiders team was historically bad. The Bears had DJ Moore, some decent O-Line pieces, a runningback, etc.
The Commanders had Scary Terry, some other pieces
Broncos had an awesome defense and one of the best o-lines in the league.
Who did the Lions draft?
Chargers went from Ja-Rivers to Ja-HerbWOAT

there's no team you listed with an absolute abysmal O-Line, no receivers (Bowers is the GOAT, but he needs the power of friendship at some point), a bad defense, no HC to speak of atm. I mean, the Jets are historically bad and this team is picking before them. It's okay to have a conversation about being more than a young QB away in the most difficult division in football.

They have cap space to improve the offensive line. He only needs Bowers right now. The primary objective is to fix the line and get Jeanty moving. Everything else comes after. They have an opportunity at a franchise QB so they gotta get him.

I agree, and Mendoza is awesome imo but having a discussion about it isn't off limits with just how bad the Raiders and Jets are.

Luckily they have more than a singular draft pick and ~$110 million in cap space.

I cant even take someone seriously if they are saying that team shouldnt take a quality QB prospect. That is bat shit insane. No one is saying that Mendoza and Mendoza alone is going to save them, but it is widely the most important part.

If you draft BOTH Fernando and Alberto, though...
