If only the Lions and other good QBs played two teams with a winning record. Maye is great, don't get me wrong, but his numbers are inflated by one of the easiest schedules of all time. Yes, I would rather have Maye than Goof, but it's clear, Stat Padford is the clear MVP.

These pass blocking grades are also indicative of quality of competition and offensive line.

I’m pretty sure if you gave Maye Amon ra st brown, jamo, and Gibbs he’d be doing a bit better than he did.

I agree that the patriots didn’t play amazing teams.

But he also didn’t have puka nakua at receiver or Amon ra st brown. Drake Maye is the patriots offense. Where as stafford and Goff are a piece. It’s different

I'm going to give my picks for this weekend. Usually I run into trouble doing this because I pick who I want to win rather than who I think.

Rams
Packers
Jags
Eagles
Pats
Steelers

Put your money on a parlay fellas.

Everyone on NE sucks but Maye. Got it.

If Maye had to play the NFC North, The Rams, Eagles and Steelers, he would not be putting those numbers up. Not even a question.

Could be a Drew Brees but dont draft him. Makes sense. These are the experts.

Kurt's honestly not a bad evaluator and I get what he's saying. It's a rough division to get started in as a team that is COMPLETELY overhauling. It's not that he's not worth a number 1 pick, it's just that he's going to be getting zero help for at least a couple years in a division that has three teams in the superbowl window.

Everyone would rather have Maye than Goof. I'm not taking shots at him, but Detroit played nine games against teams with winning records, Maye played three. He has weapons, a good coach, a much improved offensive line and a better defense than the Lions did after those injuries. Goof did that with a shit offensive line outside of Penei and with no LaPorta Potty. Not sure why we have to elevate other surrounding casts to make Maye's look lesser than.

Not to mention that in those couple years he can possibly be obliterated health wise by those other defenses.

He’s basically saying that the raiders will ruin him. Think everyone here has said the same thing.

Its retarded and you can say the same thing for any team picking that high, or looking for a franchise QB.

The Bears needed a complete overhaul. So did the Pats. So did the Commanders. So did the Broncos. So did the Lions. So did the Chargers. Etc etc etc.

Then they land a legit franchise QB and all of a sudden they look like a capable team. Its beyond stupid to pass on a QB and hope to build a team without one.
