Drake Maye on the Pats this year with a sick ass defense, a great o-line, a generational coach, good wr’s, creative rungame with multiple starting-caliber backs, and a all-time OC is the equivalent of being a nepo-baby. If you took any other top 10 QB and put them in that situation they’d eclipse the numbers he put up.
It is what it is though. He’ll win MVP and bounce out of the yoffs
LOL. You may be exaggerating a bit. He has the 3rd highest number of sacks in the league, the o line isn’t good, let alone great. They had one of the worst rushing offenses until recently. None of that means he’s the best QB out there, and not really MVP worthy IMO, but he’s clearly better than what you want to admit.Drake Maye on the Pats this year with a sick ass defense, a great o-line, a generational coach, good wr’s, creative rungame with multiple starting-caliber backs, and a all-time OC is the equivalent of being a nepo-baby.
sack number dont mean much, he holds onto the ball to try and make plays and he's good at itLOL. You may be exaggerating a bit. It doesn’t mean everything of course, but the third most sacks doesn’t come with a great o line. I don’t think any one stat tells the entire story, but I don’t remember Maye being one that takes longer to throw. I thought he was about middle of the pack?sack number dont mean much, he holds onto the ball to try and make plays and he's good at it
the run blocking has been pretty bad and so had the injuries, but GOATmandre and Treyveon would be better with a better run blocking scheme but they're still operating within it pretty well.
TTT is also a skewed metric, all of the metrics are focusing on singular aspects and not operational efficiency overall. I don't think the Patriots have a great offensive line either. Josh McDaniels always has a faster TTT though, its a feature of the offense. It doesn’t mean everything of course, but the third most sacks doesn’t come with a great o line. His o-line is above average, he just is used to standing like a statue in the pocket for 8 seconds and doesn’t move up well.LOL. You may be exaggerating a bit. My brother in christ we are objectively talking about an NFL QB and whether he is the most valuable player. To even talk about a second year QB says it all.
I have no doubts at all we'll be talking about Drake Maye as being among the leagues elite for the next decade barring injury.
I'm very impressed with the young guy. Very accurate passer and mobile.
