Strongly doubt a team contending for the 1 seed is concerned whatsoever about a personal accolade. I doubt CMC is either.
I mentioned that, but do know they are aware of just how close he is to an NFL milestone. No doubt the TV guys mention it. Must be 100 articles on Google about it.
If the Niners did have a 28-10ish type 4th Q lead, hmmmmmm?
Kinda cool a Niner was the first to do it, another Niner the only two timer,
One of a ton....
Christian McCaffrey is on the verge of achieving a feat of statistical dominance never before accomplished in NFL history: recording a second season with 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards.
McCaffrey's 2025 season with the
San Francisco 49ers has been a highlight reel for his dual-threat supremacy, as he has not only maintained his elite rushing efficiency but also served as a primary receiving target capable of beating linebackers and defensive backs alike. If he completes this unprecedented accomplishment, McCaffrey will solidify his claim as the most uniquely productive offensive weapon of the modern era, becoming the only player to ever reach this staggering statistical summit multiple times.

Christian McCaffrey has a chance to make NFL history this season, and
Trent Williams would love nothing more than to help him get there.
The 49ers’ All-Pro left tackle pointed to how significant it would be to help McCaffrey chase another rare 1,000-1,000 season -- 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards in the same campaign. Only three players in league history have ever achieved the feat:
Roger Craig in 1985,
Marshall Faulk in 1999 and McCaffrey himself in 2019.
The 29-year-old running back is on pace to become the first player ever to do it twice.
"That would be huge, just more so for Christian, just continuing to rewrite the history books," Williams told reporters before 49ers practice Wednesday. "He's a transcendent talent, and we're lucky to be around him, lucky to have him. Obviously, more happy for Christian, but it would be good to be a part of history."
