Is this article correct? It looks like Reich was still getting $9 million/year from Indianapolis and adds another $9 million per year to it or did the Panthers have to buy out his contract with Indy so it's the same $9 million/year.

According to ESPN, the Indianapolis Colts are paying Reich $9 million per year through 2026 for a total of $36 million after he was fired in December 2022.


Now, after being fired by the Panthers, Reich will continue to earn his pay — with considerably less stress. He will earn a similar sum from the Panthers throughout the next three years.

Reich gets $9 million /year from Indy.

I know it probably depends on how the contracts are written but it seems like a great job if you still get paid after being fired. If he was hired for $36 million being paid over 4 years technically they they probably owe him the $36 million unless he leaves voluntarily.

Before this thread closes, I think we can all agree that we witnessed some of the worst quarterback play imaginable in the Bears/Vikings game. Both quarterbacks managed to put together decent final drives after horrendous earlier play. Both teams deserved to lose and they are both hated rivals but I know more Viking fans so it's always satisfying when they lose. This one was even worse for their fans because it appeared that they pulled it out after sucking most of the game, only to have their hopes dashed in the end.
